CoPilot Live Premium is a very competitive nav program at a low price {TUAW.com}

Jul 13th 2011 12:15PM Does this have a "truck mode" (normally really a "tall car mode"), and can it be set to avoid routes with u-turns?

(hint to all navigation app devs out there, nobody has done a truck/RV iOS nav app yet, and dedicated units run $300 to $700 so you could make great short term cash and decent long term by being the first!)

Gold Capped: TradeSkillMaster, the last trade skill and finances addon you'll ever need {WoW}

Feb 21st 2011 7:22PM Clearly it does stuff, in a complex way that will save you all the pain of doing stuff yourself, except you still have to click things, that is after the complex setup (which is complex) is complete.

Addon Spotlight: 2 quickies and some addon discussion {WoW}

Feb 3rd 2011 8:12PM @Radioted
Macaroon is an action bar addon, and it has a "storage area" for buttons. You can bind keys to the buttons in the storage area and they will work just fine while the storage area is not visible (which is almost always).

Macaroon also lets you make more then the default number of macros, and it lets you make very large macros. It also has more or less the "normal action bar" addon features.

Noteshelf wants to give 10 TUAW readers a free license {TUAW.com}

Jan 21st 2011 7:23PM I will use Noteshelf to draw simple data flow diagrams.

Garmin announces StreetPilot, its first iPhone navigation app {TUAW.com}

Jan 4th 2011 12:07PM Does it have a truck mode? I use navigon, but the truck mode leaves something to be desired. It does avoid low clearance paths, but if I end up off route it will ask me to U-turn which isn't possible without WAY more room then is needed. It has also planned routes over "30foot kingpin trailers not advised" roads more then once. I would love an app that doesn't have those shortcomings.

Dec 23rd 2010 1:40PM Looks a lot like a n52. Anyone know what the differences are?

If that doesn't count, I like uptime as well, but DM was my fave.

Game Center terms of service updated, real names shared on invitation {TUAW.com}

Nov 30th 2010 5:49PM Note with blizzard's system anyone can see their friend's friends, as in their friend's friends real names. So while I may be happy to let Bob know my name, but I don't know who Bob's friends are.

Other people may have other issues with it, but for me it is just the lack of control on who gets to see my name.

(some of the issues others have is they like to be able to play on another server to get away from "friends" that are too clingy from time to time...others don't want anyone to know their real names...others fear that being know as a "WoW player" may hurt them at work...and so on)

Patch 4.0.3 released, no patch notes, no game changes yet {WoW}

Nov 16th 2010 1:43PM @Rylka you can also cancel it with the "macro command" /cancelaura Dumb Buff

With the buffs obscured it might be hard to find the exact case and spelling for the buff, but the combat log might be able to help you out (and I'm sure there is Lua to get the list of buffs as well, but I don't know it off the top of my head).

Nov 16th 2010 1:05PM It's not that LK's drops look like the stuff all over ICC, but ICC is littered with knockoffs of the LK's stuff that just happened to "fall off the back of a truck" and you can "get a great deal". Hey, it looks "like the real thing" and "nobody'll know the difference".

But you are one of the rare few that can tell quality merch, right? I can get you the good stuff, I know a guy...
