Sep 7th 2009 11:35AM Well, as a raiding shadow priest (disc sub for healing heroics), I am doing pretty well on the dps charts. Not the top, never the top (save on certain AoE pulls with mind sear), but more than respectable. Given the added utility of buffs and mana and health regen (and an occasional off-heal when the main healers get taxed), I enjoy the role. Leveling as anything but shadow was painful as all get out; though, I enjoyed healing instances at level as shadow (no respec needed). Are there better classes? Yea, maybe - even probably. But, I really enjoy the priest class...(and actually enjoy disc healing far better than holy).
Apr 1st 2009 8:33PM Not me and have been unaffected up 'til this point. Disappointed. Blizz support forums - complete waste of time...
Feb 17th 2009 11:42AM As a devoted shadow priest, I promise I'll help out Exodar horde by dual-speccing as a healer (probably holy) as soon as I can. Gearing up, well that's another story - but at least I'll have the tools to do the job. Can't bring the ability to do so to me fast enough...
Dec 22nd 2008 7:35AM Not sure I've ever seen a shadow priest take silence as a talent. You have to pick up 2 points in an improved fear first, which hardly seems worth it. Am sure it is helpful in situations, but I'd not suggest to non-shadow priests that it is a common talent we spec into. I think the talents folks should know for shadow priests are vampiric touch and embrace. Off-heals and mana battery FTW. Might also be good to tell folks that we *can* heal 5-man's in some cases.
Oct 15th 2008 1:07PM My level 61 spriest got an experience boost. Had at least 1/3 of the way to go to 62 but when I logged in was only 1 XP away from 62. Guess it is related to leveling nerf from 60-70, which will ensure I am WoTLK ready by release date!
