Jan 21st 2009 7:09PM I want to support Blizz and absolutly love their content, but no way should content in any form be released in this condition. Every time I feel sympathetic about them I think of this.
11.5 million subscribers x $15 approx. dollars a month = 1.7 billion dollars a month approx.
If the people you have cant get it done hire more or hire better.
Dec 21st 2008 12:08PM eh leave him be. without token drops its hit or miss on if the loot can even be used. I know ive been in 3 10 man versions and 2 25 man version where the loot was just left there because we didnt have the class that dropped. Also a cpl of guild healers joined a pug for 25 and it was lotz o' failz for the dps on the enrage timer so I think it works for what it is and what it developed for.
Dec 12th 2008 2:54PM I have no problem with any of this. Even in a guild with 70 80's atm its hard to throw together 8 or 9 peeps for 3 consecutive full clears of MC so we have the correct number of ppl with quintessence to summon majordomo. Not too mention that MC isnt exactly the most fun place in terms of repeating it. No offense to anyone that level, but the mallet and the septer are super easy to obtain anyways.
As for Ony just take a pally with you and your done.
Also, again is this hotfixed in game or coming with the next patch?
Dec 9th 2008 3:22PM Find yourself a casual raiding guild. There are plenty of them out there. Casual raiding guilds don't raid any less than many hardcore guilds, its still 4-5 nights + a week, but attendance isn't required. It can be hard to find a really good one, but they are there. My guild is casual and was in SWP prenerf. In a good casual raid guild you have the hardcore raiders that like the relaxed environment and are there for every raid, but there is always 7 or so spots open for our casual folks who have RL conflicts. Hop on the server recruitment forums. Pick a few and talk with the officers on vent before you make a decision. You can typically get a feel for the environment of the guild just from that conversation, since many times the "feel" of the guild comes from those who set the tone and lead it.
You may not get realm first kills with this method, but the relaxed atmosphere fits many (not all) ppl and you will get to see content that when you were lvl 75 you said "There is no way I will be able to see that"
Dec 9th 2008 2:41PM I have both stack trinkets the majestic dragon and dragon soul. They do wonders for mana regen for me. 10 stacks of spirit ups your mana regen well over 100.
Personally I stack int more than spirit now. Relying mostly on the spirit from gear and enchants when no other stat is available. Get your crit up to 25-30% raid buffed. Watch the SOL and HC procs, time your inner focus and with 10 stacks of spirit from the figurine the mana will come pouring in. Mix in Hymn of hope if possible or fiend and your 20% mana to full in no time.
Didn't know about the levitate deal, ill give it a shot since i have it glyphed.
Oct 26th 2008 1:26AM I think the nerf was a little too much. Maybe a 15% health decrease. I'm enjoying it cause we started about 3 months too late at the pace we were progessing and farming. When the patch hit we were 4/5 hyjal and 3/9 bt without attempting kael yet, and only 3 hours on vashj. We downed vashj after 3 more hours and kael the same. I will say that vashj still does take a good knowledge of how to get her out of phase 2, which is still a pain until you get some runs in, but after that its cake. Kael took a lot less than vashj for us. Still dont think a pug full of ppl in heroic blues could do it without some raid experience.
BT bosses are a litttle different. We have only been in once since the patch and immediatly went from 3/9 to 6/9 in one evening. Najentus is a joke with all the aoe healing flying around now. Supremus only takes people staying out of volcanoes, which people still can't do for some reason. Akama was and still is a joke. Gorefiend was cake, we killed him with 3 full groups of constructs in the raid so the nerf broke that encounter, which stinks cause most the others still take a little knowledge of how to execute. Bloodboil still takes knowledge and execution but we just saw 3 bloodboil rotations and killed him on the 3rd fel rage. Reliquary pretty much is a power through it fight as long as you get through phase 1 without the ppl tanking dieing.
Overall, it seems you can steamroll through many bosses if your raid has decent experience, but it will still take a couple hours work on some bosses that you still have to execute properly on. 25 man pugs of ppl with little raid experience I dont see steamrolling the content. They can get it by putting in some work, but how many pugs actually hold together long enough to work on something? It still takes a little knowledge and communication with the people you raid with, but it is much easier if you have that.
Oct 21st 2008 2:26PM What about the people that want to play on a low pop server. I transferred from a low pop server to another low pop server, because I want to be on a low pop server. My realm isn't up for this and if they are doing it because of the latin american pop then that is fine, but if they are doing it just to get people off the server then that sucks. If you want off the server pay your money and transfer just like everyone else has to do. If you want to give free transfers put restrictions on it like what faction you will play or race etc. So that the people who actually like to play on low pop realms are not overly affected by this and your not ripping off the people who actually pay to move.
Oct 21st 2008 1:48PM Disc is perfectly viable at the moment no live. Who gives a damn about your throughput of healing if everyone is alive. Makes about as much since as looking at overhealing charts when no healers are going oom. Right now if you spec straight holy your severely gimed in regen. If you spec your traditional coh/meditation have fun with it, but why do the same old thing when we have all these new talents to fool around with. Right now im specced disc and having a blast healing everything. I'm sure at 80 i'll be back to what will then be a traditional 10/61 or whatever the hell ends up as the cookie cutter preist spec. For now enjoy the variety that is offered to you, cause some of it may be gone by 80.
Oct 18th 2008 11:42PM Ive tried both new disc and holy specs for raiding since the patch. Really it feels like it just depends on what your raiding at the moment. CoH is incredibly overpowering right now if you run with a cpl of more coh priests and a shammy or two. From what ive tried ill spec coh holy traditional in BT where raid wide damage is high and im doing mostly raid heals. In hyjal i run the disc spec because I pretty much mt heal the main trash mob tank and boss tank. Penance does seem really op at times especially on crits. But improved bubbles and the abilty to drop to .7sec flash heal cast times is really hard to pass up. Was quite a bit tougher on Archi though cause i'm used to having coh for those quick heals needed through the raid on that fight, but that might be because im not quite as proficient with when and where to use spells yet.
Oct 18th 2008 3:43AM I'm enjoying the achievments so far. I have right at 2k points and it gives me a good reason to do something other than grind mats and dailies all day waiting for the raid to start.
The ppl that are qqing about achievments will change their mind really quick if blizz changes their mind and decides to offer rewards for your point totals down the road. Then they will qq over the fact that they are offering stuff for them when they decided not to do them.
