Dec 16th 2008 9:23AM It is a little disappointing that so much of the gear looks the same.... However that being said, the look of the gear that we have is totally awesome and badass. I hated the way Outland gear looked for the most part. I would much rather have limited options and those options look amazing then tons of really stupid looking options.
Dec 10th 2008 5:15PM Alchemy has a lot of recipes that can only be learned through discovery, which has a 7 day cool down.
Dec 3rd 2008 11:27AM You are correct Clint, there is not any tanking gear in the early instances.... or very much gear in most instances up to 80. I have been looking at loot tables and there seems to be a lot more gear in heroics... which is good.
Dec 3rd 2008 11:14AM So you get to roll on double the amount of gear? remind me not pug with you
Dec 3rd 2008 10:39AM wow, that is a crazy story... thanks to whoever did that making us warriors look bad. Yes we get hit in the head a lot, yes my int is only 33 and my sta almost 1500... but that doesn't mean most of us warriors dumb :)
In regards to the dual spec issue... I have been thinking about this a lot because I have had the exact same concerns... tank gear can be tough enough to find w/out every plate wearer in the party trying to role on it (you don't see me rolling on 2 handers). Here is my solution. Make it a rule that you can only role on gear for the spec you are currently running. If you are running as dps in a run you can not role on tank gear and vice versa. Once the other members of that role have passed then you could role.
Dec 3rd 2008 10:12AM I was thinking about this... it will be a while before DK's actually improve the ease of getting a tank, and here is the reason why.... Anyone who has never tanked before we will clearly have a learning curve on how to be a good tank. Anyone who has tanked will probably be playing on their main tanks or if they are playing on a DK then that is one less tank in the pool, i.e. they replaced their warrior tank with a DK one.
Dec 3rd 2008 9:36AM Healers seem much harder to find to me then tanks, but I am a prot warrior so I guess my opinion is a little biased, lol. Seriously though, I think the main way to fix the problem of lack of tanks/healers is dual specs. I can't imagine any hybrid class not taking at least one role of tanking or healing as their second spec given the opportunity.
Dec 1st 2008 5:10PM The first time I ran violet hold one dropped for everyone... I have seen several since then (since some people didn't have them). I thought these would be hard to obtain, but that does not seem to be the case.
Dec 1st 2008 3:39PM @51 If you lost your family over WoW it is probably a good thing you are quitting.
I really can't see how putting tons of money in to developing content very few people would see makes sense. I'm glad Blizzard is making end-game content a little more accessible. That said, I think it would have been cool to require at least 80 heroic gear for raids.
In addition when people talk about the game being easy, I think they forget to compare it to other video games... I currently have over 40 days of played time on my main (lvl 78). There is no other video game out there (other then mmo's) that I could have that amount of game time on and still have fun playing it. Average action games usually only take 9-10 hours. Even Oblvian, the game I have played longest after wow, has only taken me 50 hours and I spent a lot of time doing stuff just for fun and not central to the game.
Dec 1st 2008 11:46AM There is a mage moving books up and down, its kind of cool to watch actually.
