Microsoft responds to Google's internal condemnation of Windows; puzzled looks abound {Download Squad}

Jun 4th 2010 8:47AM As both an extensive Mac OSX user, and a Sr. level network engineer with contacts in the Black hat community. They offered me this statement once a while back when I asked them about what they ran for OS and Hardware of choice.

"Dogs don't poop where they sleep, and neither do Hackers."

Many hackers run OSX on Mac or Hackintosh hardware. They do so because it offerer them a safe enviromnemt to create their exploites without being exploited themselves.

Retribution DPS too low {WoW}

Mar 4th 2009 4:31PM [quote]M said...

Right now, Ret Pallies aren't doing quite so bad. I don't play one, so I don't know what's up with them, but they're usually competing with DKs for highest DPS, when played competently. On my server, which is not nearly one of the better servers, in a guild that isn't even top in its faction (tied three ways for second), a Ret Pally holds over 5600 dps on Patchwerk:

As you don't play one, your comment is not really valid.

For your example, Patchwerk, DKs and other DPS that is "Well Geared" has been shown to pull out a sustained 7K+ DPS.

Speaking from my own point of view, I play a Tankadin, I leveled as Prot, and will not dabble into Ret till 3.1 (As a Tankadin I pull around 2.5-3.5K DPS with threat of around 10K/sec). That said however I deal with several of my guilds Retadins, and they have noticed the cap. Hell My DK just popped 80 last weekend, and has only BoE Epic Blacksmith, and Blue Blacksmith items and some quest gear from the grind to 80, and I'm doing 2.5K DPS in Archavon Heroic. the Retadins in 90% 213 gear or better were at the 4-5 k mark. Projected out I'll be doing 6-7K when in in the equal of their gear.

Lichborne: Top Death Knight DPS builds and patch 3.1 {WoW}

Feb 23rd 2009 4:05PM Reading is not a strong suit for some, I said my gear consists of only Quest Blues/greens, and BoE Blacksmith gear (90% of the gear is Blacksmith with only the rings and kneck being quest gear). The Epics are the three crafted Titansteel ones, one of which is the 2h mace. The majority of her BoE BS gear is the Savage Saronite lvl 78 stuff. I'm currently severly lacking in +hit and +expertice, and my AP is in the 2800 range unbuffed. see the sheet at (

None of my gear is from the Dungeons, in fact I did no dungeons on my alt at all. Actually come to think of it I've never done non-heroic dungeons period. Even with my pali main I never entered a non heroic while leveling. I found the prospect of getting dungeon gear worthless untill 80 when the heroics opened up.

Also I have "played" harder specs, I leveled as deep unholy for a while, then tried some DW unholy in my late 70s but found the extra healing from Blood made my it easier while soloing.

Feb 23rd 2009 2:10PM I can feel the Nerf on the Bloodless comming already. I know it's comming.

Last night I finally poped 80 on my DK alt, My main (Tankadin) made a bunch of gear with blacksmithing for her, and with the 3 epics and the rest the BoE Blacksmith and quest blues I went to my first Heroics. I focused on the Plagueless blood spec, with the rotation OB>HS>DC rince repeat and I pulled nearly 2kDPS. That coupled with the 19K health pool quaifies me for my guilds entry requirements for Nax10. Most of the other classes need to be fully ilvl 187/200 from Heroics to meet my guilds requirements for Nax, so clearly the DK out the gate is OP, and Plagueless seems like easy mode...

Ghostcrawler: "We still are not convinced that Warrior tanks are operating at some huge deficit" {WoW}

Feb 17th 2009 3:33PM I have a Prot Pali and last night as OT I was doing 3KDPS and over 6KThreat/second with Crits as High as 13K. compared to the MT Warrior on his max DPS/Threat rotations and he did 2K and 4K and his high crit of 7K. I was placed into the OT slot as the warrior had 1k more health (though I have significantly more avoidance/mitigation).

Granted it was in Nax against undead, but given that situation Pali tanks can rip warrior DPS and threat to shreds. Warriors need a big buff Damage/DPS/TPS wise, Esle the author is correct, give them something that they are "best" at. It was that they were the best at Single Target (read as Main Tank) tanking, but against an undead, a paly destroys him, and against a caster mob a DK is much better...

Breakfast Topic: What's the oldest piece of gear you use? {WoW}

Feb 13th 2009 12:55PM I still have the seal of the dawn on my Pali, I got it in plain vanilla wow, and never ground out the rep in the instances as my guild had already moved on to MC/BWL. recently I went back and ground out exaulted AD rep, and still have it kicking arround in the bank :)
