Feb 9th 2011 5:11AM We raid 10M HC and our Resto Shaman has experimented a great deal with Mastery and currently swears by it. Because of the new healing paradigm, people need to be healed from 20% (after a big boss ability like Crackle, Security Measure or Fued) to safe HP totals ASAP. If someone is >70% HP, he probably won't need heals unless he's a tank and would take a big beating anyways. In all these circumstances, the mastery throughput helps a ton. And, in comparison to haste, it doesn't cost you anything, meaning more mana for Chain Heal and Surge/GHW.

I don't know about 25M, but on 10M HC Mastery is king.

Dec 9th 2010 3:21PM The standard buff/debuff mod is Satrina's Buff Frames (or SBF) which allows you to position and change your buff and debuff bars seperatly. It's the end all be all buffbar mod.

Since 4.0, all buff/debuff mods dont allow you to click off buffs anymore though. You have to /cancelaura if you want to get rid of something.

Oct 20th 2010 3:15PM For raiding, go for the highest treat possible first. Then slowly spec out of threat/DPS talents until you remain comfortably ahead of the DPS. You can then use your freed up talent points for pushing up the Word of Glory healing (Guardian of the Light>Eternal Glory>Protector of the Innocent) or your AoE tanking (Hallowed Ground). Divine Guardian is, IMO, such a powerful ability that it should be in every spec.

Apr 29th 2010 1:57PM I like the comparison between PvE and PvP now:

Tier 1 PvE: Hero Points from 5M and outdated raidcontent (aka, PuGs)
Tier 1 PvP: Honor Points from 2v2 (probably?) and unranked BGs (PuG!)
Tier 2 PvE: Valor Points from current raidcontent and daily heroic
Tier 2 PvP: Conquest Points from 3v3, 5v5 and ranked BGs and probably the daily unranked BG
Tier 3 PvE: Hardmode!
Tier 3 PvP: Weapons only available when a high PvP rank from BG or Arena.

I like it!

Feb 26th 2010 4:03AM I always take a third healer to current 10M pugs. Always. A third healer dampens the fail, as people can stand in voidzones just a tad longer. In guildruns though? Two mostly, after the first progress kill ofc.

Sometimes you get screwed this way (your offhealer dies because it is late/hes not paying enough attention), but the time you win by zerging all other encounters when farming compensates. Or you just one-man heal Rotface as a Holy Paladin :P

Sure, it is not perfect. But as long as Blizzard doesn't give us some better way of tracking progress, it is all we got.

Feb 23rd 2010 11:07AM Zarhym is not actually saying that 10M should be/are easier. He is saying that you shouldn't expect top rewards (higher ilvl loot, legendaries, Invincible) if you aren't competing with the best (AKA Paragon, Ensidia, Vodka, etc.). This is logical, they don't want to split the hardcore raidingscene in two tiers, who are then not able to be compared. Think as if Ensidia was 25M and Paragon was 10M strict. Who would be the best guild? Noone can say.

If this is Blizzards vision, fine. Just please, implement some way for external sites to track strict progression! I don't care if it is easier or not, or if we get rewarded or not. Give 10M protos to 25M guilds if you so choose. I just want to measure my guilds skill against others doing the same, without having to gkick socials because of their ICC25 kills.

Feb 23rd 2010 10:50AM GuildOx strict ranking only disqualifies loot from raids that drop >251 gear; AKA ToGC25, ICC25 and ICC25HM. ToC25 is fair game, as there is "better" gear from 10M available.

Blame Blizzard on not dropping good trinkets in ToC10 for us to have to get ToC25 trinkets!
