"The problem with separating 10M and 25M and putting them on the same lockout is that it completely destroys 10M pugging. Ask yourself, if you weren't in a strict 10M guild, what would you raid (casually); 10 or 25M? I think you can safely say that all of the more casual players (meaning people who aren't raiding scheduled with a known group of companions trying to down new bosses) will choose the 25M because they award better (higher ilvl) gear.

So we now have two things: (1) the majority of guilds is 25M and (2) the moajority of casual, unguilded and pugging players want to do 25M content over 10M content if given the choice. The result? No more 10M pugs. If you'd ever be benched by your guild for a week, you wouldn't be able to pug the content. "

Feb 23rd 2010 10:15AM Yup, this is a problem. GuildOx is the ONLY site to track 10M strict. If you want to use something else (because of personal reasons w/e), you can't. Implementing some kind of Dedicated achievement for every 10M boss would give all progress tracking sites the tools to implement 10M strict.

Feb 23rd 2010 10:03AM I want to give a shout out to my fellow officer Ghengie, we've been trying to get 10M strict in the spotlight more, and this is a very nice step! Also, thanks Lisa for showing the interest.

About the difficulty difference between 10 and 25; it is very hard to gouge. On one hand, 25M is much harder. You have less room (think Saurfang or Firefighter), have more difficulty to coordinate stuff (which adds to CC/nuke on Saurfang, who to bite on Queen, etc.), and sometimes you feel that the 10M abilities are downgraded from 25M (I want mindcontrols on Deathwhisper10!).

But on the other hand, just one death is a wipe. You are a lot more dependant on your fellows than in 25M. Also, I get the feeling that 10's are much more strictly tuned than 25's (LK10 took strict guilds 2-3 weeks to kill, not just one). And everyone remembers the hell that OS3D was in 10M gear...

Some fights are harder, some fights are easier. Some abilities are easier, some are harder. We don't want the SAME rewards (I dont need the highest ilvl rewards, legendaries or Invincible), just (vanity) rewards and acknowledgement that can't be gotten via overgearing. Seeing 25M guilds on Rusted's makes me a bit sad inside.

We don't even need rewards; we just want some easier way to track strict 10M progress. If you want to raid this way, you should be able to do it easily. We're not bothering anyone, are we?

If they don't fix this (to use Eternium Rod instead of Titanium) it is useless for levelling enchanting, as you need 425 for the Titanium Rod, while the enchant levels around 375.

Dec 22nd 2009 4:08PM It requires a "Runed Cobalt Rod", which unfortunately doesn't exist. Speculating on the name, it should be betweed Eternium and Titanium Runed Rod. I got 412 enchanting and the Eternium Rod, but can't make this. Hopefully, getting a Titanium Rod will fix it.

Yeah, it was only announced for guild crafted heirlooms. But I think it is a brilliant concept to use for other stuff too, including guild crafted legendarys.

Nothing was announced, I am just spouting an idea.

Dec 7th 2009 8:11AM In cataclysm, with the introduction of "Bind on Guild" heirloom gear, I think they should also introduce this concept to heirlooms (and their crafting reagents, like Valanyr shards). This way, the guild who put so much effort in assembling one (for the good of the guild) can't be robbed of it by that person switching guilds or when he stops playing.

On top of that, the person to get this item would not have to have a 100% attendance when farming shards in fear of missing a drop. The entire guild could collect it.

You could even switch the weapon to another healer if someone can't make a raid.
