Aug 18th 2010 11:38PM Keep in mind a Cataclysm has devastated Azeroth and could have resulting in his release.
Aug 2nd 2010 5:57PM 'Been down there so long, I came up Koffing and Wheezing' made me snort.
Jul 30th 2010 11:31AM Dalaran should still stay an important travel hub, as you can port to all your cities from there, so there isn't really a need for another neutral city just to provide some shops and portals for.
Jul 24th 2010 1:19PM These videos did absolutely nothing for my desire for Beast Mode. They picked what looked to be the worst possible level to showcase the Berserker getting to charge around wrecking shit, and they could have at least put the guy playing in the shoes of a Kantus for the second video.
Jul 20th 2010 12:08PM Alright, maybe using an undead boss type wasn't the best choice, but my point still stands!
Jul 20th 2010 12:06PM I roleplay in various chats on IRC, messageboards, etc. The problem with WoW roleplaying is that simply existing outside the realm of free-form, completely creativity-based roleplay, it can be stifling.
Example: While I can say, "Bigtufforc bellows at his opponent, throwing his head back and battering his fists against his chest in excitement as the arena battle begins," I can't emote that. Sure, I could /roar but it's not the same. The fact my character can't necessarily do everything I want it to do sort of spoils the RP for me, as opposed to playing in a purely text-based setting where my only limit is my creativity. I think this is a major reason behind some people not playing; the constraints of roleplaying in a world where a 3D rendered avatar portrays your character.
Plus, I'd have trouble dealing in-character with why I'm slaying Ymiron, king of the Vrykul for the fifth time this week. I'm more content to leave a videogame just a videogame and not try to shoehorn in my own RP.
