Sep 23rd 2009 7:12PM Hardly a newsflash. The glyph of flame shock had those effects before now. Now the effects of the glyph have been made baseline, and the glyph is changed to make flame shock's DoT able to crit.
Sep 10th 2009 7:14PM I reckon that if Salramm can properly use his ghouls to avoid getting sacrificed, he has this one down easily. That's going by the assumption that if Salramm himself gets "paralyzed", his ghouls will be able to take down the channelers before he's killed. If he can overcome that, he simply has better abilities, for which Svala has no counter.
Aug 27th 2009 8:13PM Assuming that it is basically an "even fight", I think the commander's heals would give him the slight edge needed. But the sheer volume of adds makes it quite easy for a single mistake, or simply blind luck, to tip the scales in Krik'thir's direction.
Jul 13th 2009 12:40PM While I appreciate the hard work involved in replacing all the sounds, and I do think it's a really good job, I think the video itself was a bit... boring. It was literally a video of some guy doing the final stages of a baron run, the slow way, and looting EVERYTHING. The sounds were a really nice touch, but the spammy nature of paladin damage meant that combat sounds felt very jumbled. It's not like an 80 paladin is in any danger from anything in Strat, he might have slowed down the combat a bit, and spaced out his abilities, to showcase his sounds a bit.

Jun 22nd 2009 4:09PM As far as I can tell, the change to inspiration is largely to counter DKs and Warriors, with their "+AP from +Armor" talents. As it is currently, a warrior or DK who gets hit by inspiration will get a slight AP buff. Whereas inspiration (and the shaman equivalent) was always designed purely to reduce physical damage taken, which used to be the only thing armor did.
So I think it'll be a nerf to DPS DKs and DPS Warriors, a buff to clothies, for whom 25% armor was nothing, and a nerf to plate-wearers, for whom 25% armor was a lot.
Mar 13th 2009 4:11AM I say mal'ganis. I reckon the combination of amplify magic and vampiric touch would give him the edge.
Feb 22nd 2009 6:21PM No. Disc priests are great, but they really don't stack well, due to the fact that Divine Aegis doesn't stack, and that the weakened soul debuff means only one priest can cast PW:Shield on the tank every 15 seconds. For fights like four horsemen, 4 disc priests would be fine. But on a standard single-tank fight, no.
Feb 15th 2009 6:45PM I have a question about Sartharion. During the encounter (with all 3 drakes still alive) one of them (can't remember which one) says "Father was right about you, Sartharion, you are a weakling!"
Firstly, this implies that the three drakes are all siblings. Is this right?
Secondly, who is their father? Is he important? Will we see him in a raid encounter in the future?
