Jan 12th 2009 1:47PM Well this is exactly what happened to me. I had a level 70 Druid and Level 70 Lock - while waiting for wrath had been doing a lot of PvP so I had both with very cool PvP gear on - The lock PvP 70 gear looks sweet (80 not so much).
Anyway with everyone running their 70s in Outland, I thought I would try the death knight - ended up doing an all nighter - Had to fly out for a meeting the day after the release. Anyway I hit 60 with the DK. When I got back I wanted to see how the quests would be in outland - blew through it. By the time I hit 68 and was popping to outland, my guild members were at 72 - 74. I caught them around 77 and just out of respect for the one guild member, waited on 1 bubble to go 80 after him.
So now my main is a DK, I have my lock to 71 and my druid is almost - I drop back and play them a bit, but now at 80 I am constantly looking for heroics.
The druid was my first long drag to 70, learning about alot of things. My Lock was next and I leveled him quite fast since I was familiar with the quests. I have been on wow for just over a year now, so I never had a long long time dedicated to a toon. I am torn I would like to level my druid and lock, but it's hard not to rep grind and run heroics for emblems.
Dec 16th 2008 2:35PM I am a casual PvPer - I never did a single PvP until I was 70, earned up for my epic mount, did a bunch of rep grinding for goodies. I was running out of things to do so I started in on the BGs, I was happy to find out I could hop on play a bit leave with some honor and mark(s). Then I started checking the gear, oh just from BG honor & marks, not bad. So I really did start playing quite a bit of PvP until the point I had all the main pieces I wanted.
I leveled a DK to 80 and thought I gotta try him in PvP, let's go find out what gear I can get for BG, where are the BG vendors??
So unless this changes I am probably not going to bother with PvP, focus on the heroics and raiding. I love the tabard, rep grind while doing your dungeons - very nice.
Nov 25th 2008 2:25PM To ninja is just rude, but it happens and on occasion it happens when the other player doesn't even realize. I was collecting crates and I grabbed one while the other player had yanked the mob just around the corner so he didn't aggro more. He came around the corner and said "man, I was fighting the mob to get that", so I helped him grab a bunch by smacking the mobs while he picked up. General rule is I always ask for or if I can invite someone to help. On ore, I may hover, but ask if the person fighting near mines - if no answer I wait, while sitting on the ore, if they were I let them have it - that's just polite.
Now in the case of horde (since I am Alliance) I will on the occasion ninja from them. I got into a ninja battle with and Orc out in Netherstorm - getting the parts from the Ethereals. We sorta went back and forth - he started it, so I figure fair game.
Never been in a ninja situation that was drastic enough to report or get overly upset about.
Nov 13th 2008 7:41AM You can easily hit 58 with the DK in the DK build up zone. You stop in at Stormwind to talk to the King. Then you can fly to the keep and run into the portal. You have all the FPs avail. The DK zone ran amazingly smooth - I was suprised. The respawn rates were quick - actually too quick at one time when I was in the Hold, there were no other DKs around within a 2 - 3 minute span and mobs popped so fast, I would be killing one while another is spawning in the same place.
The gear you get for the DK from the quests are very nice - blues, which I found were not being replaced by the initial gear around honor hold - the blue were significantly better than what I am finding on the initial quests. My two 70's were leather and cloth wearing, so first time really examining the plate and sword/ax weapons.
Nov 12th 2008 12:02AM Personally I got everything I wanted done and was just running some dailies for gold the past couple days. I gotta say lost e-mail seems like a screwed up reason to have the realm servers down. It's just data - which I would hope that Blizzard has backup/redundancy and could populate e-mail data without interrupting our game play - seems fishy, I think there is more going on - but whatever the issue - get it fixed before tomorrow at midnight
Nov 11th 2008 6:51PM Yes you are picking up what I am laying down now - but I think I may need to bump to 9:00 EST - I saw at around 6:30 the message was an updated message in about 2 hours
