Jan 3rd 2010 1:25AM When you look around for your pet crab at your morning archery class.
That was the last 4-am WoW session I ever played. :P
Mar 26th 2009 6:55PM I actually evaluated a variety of games on this criteria for a class when I was in college- I was trying to find quantitative ways of getting at how video games evaluate women and one of the methods I used was looking at tons of screenshots and counting incidences of scantily clad females. WoW was actually quite prudish among the games studied. XD
Oct 20th 2008 6:21PM You know what I really hate? How the phenomenon of "it's cool to be in the minority" has turned so much of the traditionally counter-culture internet crowd into shit-spewing mouthpieces who can't understand that reviews are never neutral- that is not their point- and that her job is to express her opinions on the movies. You're free to disagree with her opinion, but you can't say that she was wrong to give it. You've got a right to think it was funny, she has a right to think it was not.
My god, but there is so much offense at her being offended in these comments that I may drown in the irony of it all.
Oh, yes, and beyond the indignation we have the generalizing. Apparently, women wouldn't "get their panties in a bunch" over men being abused. Well, I suggest you boys get your testicles out of a twist, come off your self-righteous cloud of ignorance, and realize that people who take domestic violence seriously enough to be offended by this kind of joke probably care about the guy who gets slapped by his wife as much as the woman who gets knocked around by her husband.
Do us all a favor and take your "I'm way too cool to support basic human rights, common courtesy, and logical thought!" back to your LiveJournal until you grow up.
