Dec 19th 2010 6:10AM sounds like he is trying to edge you out any way underpressure... I think robin's advice to go, without drama and without emotion, is the best option of all
theres plenty of great guilds with laid back competent players out there who are skilled at what they do but don't want to play with that guy's level of angst. I have been in hard core guilds and ones that are too laid back and two that were just right.
The hard core angst that guy displays is exhausting for me too, which is why i left the hard core guild and found the one that is perfect for me.
I wish you happy journeys :)
Oct 28th 2010 6:47AM My teenaged sons were the ones who begged me to play and now i am the hard core gamer in the family.
Im a great healer and becoming a really good tank. I don't think gender has anything to do with how well people play. It has to do with their willingness to research and learn how to play their class and spec really well, and how to gear gem etc as well. It also depends on their willingness to work in a team rather than just for themselves. My husband plays, but he prefers to play alone and he really only quests. Its a way to lose himself here and there after a hard day's work.
We now have two computers and will be levelling new characters in cata, when it comes out, together. Its most likely i will be the tank :)

sobs into large tub of strawberry, pistachio and macadamia ice-cream
Oct 14th 2010 6:10AM Oh why do they torture us? why does it have to be even uglier than the other tree form? why couldnt it look like a tree sprite ( a dryad)
why is it so MALE? why is it so aggressive looking ?
I love my druid healer but I am sick to death of looking at ugliness when i heal
and this is beyond far worse
dont they know that women play druids too? often a druid healer is a woman? why would we want to look at this? why would anybody?
Oct 9th 2010 8:08AM hello i have toons in ICFTB, bannsidhe being my main there. Its a lovely place. I recently moved her into the higher level guild because of the break up. It's sad we have to break the guild up but I completely understand why it has to be done. There will be too much to monitor on every character in each guild for the guild levelling function. I understand. I think Robin's solution for our guild is the best compromise.
i think the people in this chat thread saying the programmers are not good enough really need to stop being hard on people doing their very best with a very thankless task.
Quit yer whining I say.
Jun 8th 2010 8:45AM Usually i stick up for the person being abused in a reasonable manner and if that fails i put the abusive people on ignore and finish the run, knowing that because they are on ignore now i will never have to run with them again. If its only one abusive person and the intervention hasnt worked, i vote to kick. If the vote fails I might actually decide to drop group espeically if I am healing or tanking because I prefer not to help people who are mean by healing them or protecting them and helping them get what they want :)
If they start really getting personal with extremely ugly abuse I report them as well.
I think if you ignore the abuse they put someone else though you are only condoning what they are doing and making them feel they can get away with it.
May 25th 2010 12:00AM Humans are the ugliest of all the races, and they move in a really odd way like they have a broom stick up their ( ahem) spines. When you look at them from behind, which is most of the time, they look like they have no necks. They dont move their shoulders when they move either. Its so sad that worgen ever have to spend time looking human because I cant create human characters for all the above reasons, and.. their music is annoying
May 13th 2009 8:55PM before the last major patch these two quests (the one with the jug of wine, and cheese for glowergold) were easier because the spawn timers were quicker when a lot of people were looking for the items, but now they seem really slow. they seem to be the same no matter how many people are trying to get the items.
I wonder if this is the problem? Does the spawn rate just need to increase in regard to how many people are doing the quest?
May 13th 2009 7:23PM I've been playing a druid for about four years, so I started in classic content.
Druids then were a joke, and their main role, as stated by wows blurb, on the different classes ( to help you chose which class you would play) seemed to be to make people laugh. We could heal, tank, cast and melee but we could not do any of them with any power and basically were forced to be feral to level.
I chose to level as a hybrid balance/resto and it was a very very long hard journey but what I loved most was casting and healing so I stuck with it. Become ing Purely resto at level 57 when i started raiding black mountain.
Druids were very unpopular at this time because they were so very hard to play and did not do anything particularly well.
I loved my druid for all she could do, and also what she was, ie a druid. ( I love the lore of druids)
It really wasn't till TBC and the spell power changes that soloing quests (and dailies especially) became easy for a raiding resto druid.
For most of TBC I needed someone else to help me if I wanted to do dailies fast.
That spell power change to stats was the greatest single change to druid life in my opinion ( because then, and really since I turned sixty I have been a dedicated raid healer)
In TBC we became fanatastic healers and we still are very potent ones, and we were then the premier class for arena teams so we were very useful for many parts of the game and I think then our popularity was at its highest.
I think in any play style now we hold our own which is why our popularity is still strong ( although maybe not as high as it was in TBC because we are no longer so brilliant as an arena partner)
When blizzard makes a character's playstyle and success rates at what they do an uphill battle, its no wonder that class becomes less popular, and this has happened to rogues and warlocks recently.
Your comments on death knights resonate for me.
May 12th 2009 6:46PM The whole world plays WOW and reads this site, but you only ever run your competitions for The USA and Canada
It seems very parochial.
