Mar 2nd 2012 9:55AM Hello, my name is Joline (Dwarf Mage, Stormreaver) and I am a transmogaholic.
I experience the same space woes that you describe and have taken to sending BoE transmog pieces to my alt to store until I am ready to don the outfit. I currently have 6 fully assembled sets and a few others in progress. This addiction has even spilled over to my alt, who ground out a rep from neutral to exalted just to get access to a transmog piece. The addon Mogit is amazingly helpful for this obsession.
The void storage/bank issue really is still problematic. I also have a collection of items that produce/do things on use - not to mention tabards and other random crap - that takes up tons of space. Need moar void storage slots! Or, perhaps a walk in closet.
Transmog has also altered the economy in a pretty significant way. Low level greens that have low drop rates have skyrocketed in cost on the AH. If you are watching, you can snatch them up cheap and resell them at up to 500g a pop. There are a few entrepreneurs on our server that have the market cornered for some of these sets. I hear murmurings that this limits the accessibility of cheap greens for new characters and it makes me wonder what new players would think of this false valuation.
Oh, and I look pretty. Oh so pretty!
Feb 15th 2012 9:51AM I also work while digging sometimes, but not as a writer...as a business analyst solving software ticket issues. One monitor for work, one for WOW. More often I watch Hulu, Netflix, etc. while digging. It gives that perfect bit of zen-like doing something while still allowing some focus to attend to the show that's on.
All that said, I don't dig much anymore. After the major spurt of it to get Realm First Arch (375 and 450!), finishing the Professor title, then the long and arduous slog trying to get the caster staff (which, sadly, never has shown up) I am now just casually focused on Uldum digs to get the thing pet. Each Night Elf and Fossil dig site I get just delays things more. I think those just show up so that I will keep digging until they add more crap to dig up.
