Shut down XP Antispyware 2010 and avoid AntiMalware Pro {WalletPop}

Apr 22nd 2010 12:48PM I can tell you right now that antivirus programs DO NOT stop this malware. I work as the IT tech for a business in Oregon. All the workstations and the server here have Symantec Endpoint Protection installed, and the laptops have Norton 360. I have had to remove this devastating piece of garbage from MULTIPLE computers at this business, often from people who should know better than to click "yes" on pop-up windows.

Even though we spent an incredible amount of money protecting the computers here with Symantec's products, they flat-out refused to help without additional payment and placed the blame entirely on the users. I had to clean all the infected computers myself. Their product WILL NOT prevent infection.

Family budgets: Make movie night safe again with family-friendly review sites {WalletPop}

Nov 21st 2009 1:48PM What the heck....I mean REALLY. Who is so stupid that they think that a Christmas Carol is for little kids? The whole thing is about a mean old man being terrorized by ghosts, of course if you have namby-pamby wussies for kids they are going to be scared.

What we as need is a website that tells you if a movie is going to brainwash your kids with liberal BS, which is almost IMPOSSIBLE not to get in a Hollywood movie these days. I cant tell you how many times I've gone to some movie and had to sit through constant attacks on my religion, my race, and my nation and then explain to my kids afterwards that even though EVERY Hollywood film says it, blue does NOT equal green.

Class travel skills changing in patch 3.2 {WoW}

Jun 11th 2009 7:26PM Just more bs for those of us that have stuck around since the beginning. Blizz feels the need to pander to the newbs and slap the rest of us in the face repeatedly.

Jun 3rd 2009 5:24PM Never heard of Coca-Cola on Proudmoore. Twenty people in the guild and they get a notice? They don't even have a breakup post on the Proudmoore forum. How did this even show up here?

May 14th 2009 6:08PM might want to check again.

From Blizzard Poster Vrakthris:

"The use of the automated game play features that the G15 keyboard is capable of would be considered a violation of our Terms of Use and as such should be avoided."

"Use of the keyboard as a keyboard is fine."

In other words, you can only use your G10 as a keyboard, plain and simple. You CANNOT program the macro keys.

And yes Avan, programs such as KeyClone are third-party software used to replicate key commands to unattended systems.

May 14th 2009 5:17PM Panda, it's the exact same thing as corrupt cops and judges taking money to look the other way, only this way they've legalized it in order to rake in the cash. You're only "illegal" (breaking the EULA) if you do it on a single account. Pay more, and suddenly you're golden.

Bubsa, I just used a dictionary definition. There are more people who can read at your grade-school level to insult on the Blizzard General forums.

May 14th 2009 4:50PM automation

The use of computers to control a particular process in order to increase reliability and efficiency, often through the replacement of employees.

One human input, one reaction = not automation.
One human input, 60 reactions = automation.

Don't know why the multicheaters get so uppity when they are called out, they are completely safe from Blizz who will claim they are legal as long as they get money from the extra accounts.

May 14th 2009 4:29PM Blizzards typical contradictory language...

Eula, Section 2:

You agree that you will not, under any circumstances:
B. use cheats, automation software (bots), hacks, mods or any other unauthorized third-party software designed to modify the World of Warcraft experience

Multiboxing is not possible without automation software. That's not including all the damaging social aspects, such as sales of accounts, gold-farming, power-leveling, etc. covered under section C.

May 14th 2009 4:08PM I've been working on one of every class to level 80. However, I've been doing it all on one account and was hoping to find some hidden account-based acheivement for it, but as of hitting one of every class at level 70, one account, one server, no RAF or multi-cheating there's nothing to show all the work I've done.

Oh well, guess after I hit my personal achievement I'll just take one toon and achievement whore like everyone else in the world.
