Blood Pact: Dark Intent update and T13 gearing {WoW}

Dec 19th 2011 5:47PM 1. It's almost reflexive for me to just throw it on a healer from running five mans and usually ending up with melee DPS in the other spots. Resto Druid or Holy Priest, ideally. Is this a waste of time?

2. I got the staff from Deathwing on my first raid finder kill, made up for no tier tokens even dropping that I could use. Haven't had much chance to see the proc in action (been playing that other game since Friday), but I'm glad to read it's as good as I figured it was.

Paragon: We're sorry we cheated {WoW}

Dec 6th 2011 2:24PM I know, and I agree - I'm just playing devil's advocate. This kind of shenanigans seems to happen in some way or other every raid tier. I'll just be happy if I complete a Deathwing Raid Finder kill before TOR comes out.

Paragon: We're sorry we cheated {WoW}

Dec 6th 2011 1:46PM That's true, but it's an ethical dilemma. If you're the GM/raid leader of one of the top five guilds in the world and you hear that the other four are doing this, do you "risk" doing the right thing, knowing that if Blizzard does nothing about it then you're going into the new race to world first in t12 while your rivals all have at least raid finder t13 and 4pc bonuses? If you do what you "have" to do and Blizzard does close the exploit, then at least you're all going to be banned for more or less the same amount of time.

I have no idea if Paragon were the first guild to figure this out or not, but there's an awful lot of top guilds guilty.

Paragon: We're sorry we cheated {WoW}

Dec 6th 2011 1:08PM Nice to see a top guild hold their hands up and admit they cheated rather than try and blame Blizzard like others have in the past. World first heroics should be interesting this time with a whole bunch of top candidates sitting out most of week one.

Know Your Lore: Cataclysm's end {WoW}

Dec 4th 2011 6:29PM I'm hoping we absolutely decimate each other, lay waste to the planet worse than any Big Bad has ever done before, and then right at the lowest point in Azeroth's history, here's Sargeras.

Know Your Lore: Cataclysm's end {WoW}

Dec 4th 2011 6:27PM Aww, the Alliance got Chromie for that? Horde equivalent is Lord Green-Ambassador-to-Wyrmrest-Guy.

Dev Watercooler: Faction favoritism {WoW}

Nov 25th 2011 4:02PM I'm pretty sure that if George Lucas had made the original Star Wars trilogy as an MMO, people would be screaming "Empire bias" at the death of Obi-Wan or the end of Empire.

WoW is a story playing out over years, possibly decades. Currently, the Horde are "winning", but they won't always be. The Alliance will be back and winning when the storytelling is right. That's not to say that Alliance players don't have a right to feel like second best with *some* of the complaints about balance and bias, but it shouldn't affect telling the story Blizzard wants to tell.

Survey reveals player wealth disparity {WoW}

Nov 12th 2011 3:29AM According to my inventory addon I have 164,268g11s85c across the toons on my main realm, most of it on my main.

Be thankful you don't have to play these Rejected Darkmoon Faire Minigames {WoW}

Nov 10th 2011 5:13PM I laughed way too much at some of these.

BlizzCon 2011: Screenshots of the new Pandaria talents for all classes {WoW}

Oct 21st 2011 8:06PM Because if they balance it right (big if, admittedly) you're picking from three equally viable options at each stage. Right now you choose Ret Pally and then there's very little room for manoeuvre.
