Nov 11th 2009 12:27PM I guess it is only appropriate that I win, since my preferred gaming attire is only a pipe. My wife would really love it if I at least wore a robe. I'm sure my wife would beg you to allow me to win.
Jun 7th 2009 1:35PM I think it's time you guys start including the tag "badass-the-game" on all Conviction posts.
Dec 18th 2008 11:05AM OK. So, Chris. Hi. How you doing? Good? Great.
Ok. So, it's OK if Sony is late on the Flash PS3 firmware update, but not if Moly-no delays the Fable 2 DLC. I agree with you that Petey M promises too much when he can't deliver. But how many people in the industry does that? Probably 80% of them. He's just the poster child for it, just like Jack Thompson is the poster child for anti-violence video games. He's not the only douche who does that, but the's the face of the movement.
I love the double standard, though, really, I do.
I'll talk to you later, buddy. Have a great day!

Dec 15th 2008 3:56PM Agree 100%. There is no reason to move/shift/rotate a console while it is on....people don't flip their record players while they are on, do they?
This is ridiculous...greedy people trying to take advantage of the system to make up for their own stupidity. Never would I consider moving something that has moving parts while it is on, particularly something so valuable.
Dec 10th 2008 8:59PM I need the headphones to hear the moan of zombies attempting to sneak up on me.
Dec 8th 2008 8:46PM I would carry around a Sega Dreamcast and the best 6 Dreamcast games:
Phantasy Star Online
Jet Grind Radio

Any pre-holiday gift is greatly appreciated!
Nov 19th 2008 8:01AM Like a few people have said, this is actually a true ranking system based on skill. The Call of Duty World at War ranking system doesn't take skill into account at all. The only reason that skill makes a difference at all is how FAST you level up. A level 65-level 10 Prestige in COD5 could be a 8-year old with 2 left thumbs if he's played for 3 years...as well as an elite gamer who has played for 3 months...they are the same rank, totally different skill level.
At least in this system, it takes into account winning percentage (which, winning should be the most important thing, anyways) as well as your likelyhood to win the match. That just means, if you're favored to win, you get less of a bump up from winning, the bump up is still there, it's just less. And it also rewards players more heavily for overcoming the odds of being matched up against a team of superior skill players.
Nov 17th 2008 8:08PM This would be a fantastic holiday gift for my family! (As I'm sure is the case for many gamers.) Good luck to all (including myself!).
