May 4th 2009 11:34AM although i would not want to see the pure classes get new roles, (alright im a lock, and meta almost lets us be tanks... i would not have a problem with that one) when i look at the current pure classes im reminded of my days as an everquest bard, in everquest there were two classes that were supportive damage(I.E absolutly abysmall)/crowd controll/buffers and debuffers, the bard and enchanter respectivly, the damage buffs and enimy debuffs were easily equal to having another dps class when added to the group, and it was imparitive that you had one with you. instead of going for hybrids for the pures, i feel they should have focused on these aspecs on the pures(instead of negating them in wotlk) warlocks, affliction especially, would make great debuffers, imagine the damage mitigation with an AE curse of weakness on pulls, or something of the sort. mages having better roots and slows on their ice spells, and a hunter being able to offtank adds with two pets or something if BM specced(with significant damage reduction mind you)... and thats not even looking at possibilities with traps. i think it would have been great for these guys to have been given some other archtype outside of the dps/tank/healer mix. and there are tons of possiblilities, but as it stands we will probably never see them.
Mar 20th 2009 11:37PM i imagine the third set bonus of losing your hair is a nod to monks and all that. monks of various sects of many religions tend to shave their heads... still, im not compleatly sure that i approve, and i definatly feel bad for all the women out there.
perhaps holy magic gives off a lot of radiation...
Mar 6th 2009 7:21PM last i checked they did stack, and its nice, but generally its better to have glyph of siphon life/agony/immolate... at least untill the patch, then im guessing agony/haunt/lifetap, nightfall procs quite often on its own, if you like the extra proc chance its still a solid glyph though
Feb 6th 2009 2:29AM now that consumable ammo is gone, the only class that gets considerably less bag space because of their class is the warlock... why do i have to love being a warlock so much...
im hopeing to see soulshards taking up something other than a whole bag soon
Dec 5th 2008 2:35AM im seeing both sides of the coin here, right now im only lvl 75 on my main so i cant speak for wrath endgame, but i have expirience with bc. my first raiding guild had all of its raiders leave twice trying to beat kara all the way through, at that point all the leaders and whatever raiders were left merged with another guild that had beaten kara. at that point it was kara was easy for us but each raid after was another set of things we had to gear up for, practice and learn the fights.
to this day it kills me that we never made it to black temple, but im glad to hear that i can probably see all of wrath. there was nothing i wanted more than to work for the best gear and down all of the bad ass bosses... but alas, ive not even seen them. i have a feeling this wont be the case this time around.
at the same time, if it all comes easy, where is the work and structure you need? how do you feel awesome if anyone can get the same stuff as you, and where is the prestige of being part of a fraction of the people that know exactly how to kill illidan inside and out? i need something that will make me want to come back and play the game over and over, week after week.
i think the solution is pretty simple. keep the normal versions of dungeons the way they are, that way we can see it all. but make the heroics much harder, much better gear and with different boss tactics than before. after all, you need 25 people to run them so its for less the casual players already. heroic naxx should be along the lines of kara before, and the high end stuff should be like black temple or swp in difficulty. that way, there is the elite class of players but everyone can enjoy the bosses, story and scenery.
Nov 21st 2008 2:31AM good change, glad to hear it. now if only theyd make soul pouches(and quivers along with them) seperate from our normal bags so we dont get crippled inventory space, i could go to heaven... scratch that... id already be there
what, they did it with keys/badges/marks or honor
Nov 20th 2008 3:30AM even if you dont set your hearthstone somewhere else, you have the advantage of being able to heath to dalaran, go to whatever city you want(i think dalaran has ports to major cities... but ive not been there) for the auction house, quell your homesickness whatever, and then go back. seems like a good deal to me. i always found myself stuck in uc and having to take the zep to org to ghetto hearth to shatt.
Oct 23rd 2008 1:30AM i got lucky with the helm and pet, get the pet first five tries, and the helm the next set. but ive yet to see the mount.
the thing that gets me is ive still not gotten the damn toothpick from ToT'ing (and ive been doing it at least ten times a day since hallows end went live)... i think that's a bit atypical from what ive heard from everyone
