Chinese WoW partial relaunch pics, comparison shots of censorship {WoW}

Aug 11th 2009 4:34PM If the Chinese Ministry is so unintelligent as to have to question cartoon skeletons and cartoon blood in a game where your goal is to KILL things......well, enough said.

Aug 11th 2009 2:49PM Be careful, stating the truth that conflicts with some people's opinions will get you downrated on here.

It's amusing that we have not seen any news reports or anything of that nature coming out of China about how evil Blizzard was for disrespecting "revered ancestors" yet for some reason, the government of the communists for the communists by the communists shut WoW down for this.

There's irony for you. The regime that killed 30 million people in coming to power, and wrought the Cultural Revolution on its own people and culture, can't handle red blood and skeletons.

Aug 11th 2009 2:14PM SO tell me...the Chinese government is so much more concerned about the dead while they treat the living like crap?

Dec 19th 2008 2:57AM Anyone know a good place to fall to get the "Going Down?" achievement?

For horde players, this can be done in undercity if you jump out of the sewer tunnel (or 'bat tube') into the green goo down below. I have done this successfully on every toon so far. However you must JUMP right at the lip as running directly off does not work.

Oct 28th 2008 6:48PM It could have died off at the same rate it grew. Felt a little anti-climactic to be raving horrors one day and then next.....nothing or very little.

Oct 28th 2008 5:37PM @Nith - "considering wrath is around the corner I have a few goals to reach before i step into northrend and fighting zombies did nothing for it"

So what you are saying is your goals and wants are more important than a once in a lifetime world event.

@Jyotai - "Found a few people elsewhere who's reactions were even stronger - several who'd canceled their WoW accounts. Can't say I blame them."

Managed to get 8 of my gaming clan members into WoW and without exception every one of them had a blast with the zombie invasion and plan to subscribe once their 10 day trial is up.

Hell, I am by no means an "old school" WoW player. I started for the first time last year in December then quit in february. I restarted my account at the beginning of this month with some other member of my online gaming clan. I spent the weekend dodging zombies so I could get to level 30. Then more time dodging zombies to get to my class trainer so I could get my pally mount. Sure, I could have QQed at the length of time it took me to get to one place from another and how many times I became infected and died. I didn't I simply did what I had to do and enjoyed myself. People QQing about not being able to get business done in the auction house sort of make me laugh. One of my clan mates has always been razor sharp about making money on online rpgs, this weekend she managed to pull in over 500 gold in about 3 days and she's only been playing for about 2 weeks. One other mention is "the amount of people crying in trade". Someone with any sense would realize that the only people QQing in trade were the vocal minority. I mean with over 1000 people playing there are TEN QQing? Seems to me 990 people were playing the game instead of sitting in the city whinging.

Oct 28th 2008 9:22AM Zombies, being people who were formerly alive and now turned to the other side are of curse going to go after what they know are good targets, whether npcs or pcs this is something to be expected. Just because they became scourge doesn't mean they became brainless corpses.

Oct 28th 2008 9:17AM I have to admit I am kinda disappointed with the way it just suddenly "stopped". Sure, it was frustrating BUT FUN, on Sunday to have to jink and jive through zombies with a lvl 30 pally trying to get where I needed to go, Orgrimmar and Thunder Bluff strewn with corpses and zombies roaming and running, but then to log on Monday to find very few zombies around and everything seeming to be business as usual? That's not how it's supposed to end! There has to be more! Give me satisfaction Blizzard! Please tell me there is more mayhem and chaos on the way! Yeah, I didn't want to be a zombie but I had to use my brains for a change instead of clicking. Forget my lower level alts I wanted to level, I didn't even log them on. I had enough worries about my main. Heh. And just a side note to all the QQers on trade, I shut that off as soon as all the constant whining started. Enjoy the world event while it lasts you idiots because it's a once in a lifetime event!

Oct 28th 2008 8:45AM And you would be the non-creative warhammer fanboi douche? If warhammer is so much better stay the hell off a WoW dedicated site eh?

Zombie invasion phase 5.5 - quests to the faction leaders and Shattrath [Updated x4] {WoW}

Oct 27th 2008 7:54AM Yeah well, I don't think I'm doing so bad as only a level 30 pally. I returned to WoW a week or so ago after being gone since february and only 2 months of play back then. To come back to something this this is great!
