Raid Rx: Delivering and receiving healer feedback {WoW}

Feb 4th 2011 10:26PM You use tools like this:

http://www.stratfu.com/kamigami/comparebot/

Things to consider - make sure you are comparing apples to apples - factor in spec; you can compare yourself to yourself on attempts, or you can use the WoL site with a shaman in a spec like yours, with the same fight, and compare casts, spells used/ percentages;

This is why logs shine and are tools; HPS isn't everything, performing your role and healer synergy IS.

With logs from unknown players, you will have to look at who they are healing and you can usually deduct that there;

HPS is only one side of the coin with healing;

WoW, Casually: Deciding to raid as a parent {WoW}

Nov 9th 2009 11:02PM It is time management. Again - you need to find a guild that would fit your specific needs. I know single mother of 4 children - who raids- reliably so. AFKs may happen but it's a rarity not a planned for. 99% of our raiders are working parents/adults with jobs - it can be done. But it is a balancing act as is any recreation for a parent.

There are guilds that raid outside of prime time. I've seen many late night raiding guilds post for recruitment. The key is know what you want out of a guild and raid environment and finding it- not settling.

To each his own- but I would be the first one to agree - RL and kids/spouses/etc are more important. Schedules are important - for a reason.

Breakfast Topic: Getting guildies to the website {WoW}

Nov 7th 2009 1:37PM Our guild website is very active - in addition to raid signs, forums - including a getting to know you thread- our AFGs are posted here. We have recipes sections, a men's section, ladies, raid discussion - where we post our focuses of the week. We have strategies posted - an off night fiascos thread- so it stays pretty active. Our members are forewarned before joining that the site is active and the expectations are that you hit it once a day for any updates/strat changes/etc.

Drama Mamas: What are you here for? {WoW}

Sep 18th 2009 7:49PM A guild is what a guild is.. alot of people do not understand the effort that has to happen to make one work and continue to do so. Something to note, keep a character that you can enjoy the game with.. and one that handles the responsibilities.. it isn't all glamour- it can be a helluva schedule on top of real life. Gratz for holding it together. Start delegating. It is a necessity!
