Feb 24th 2009 5:44PM How is the equipment handled? Do I have to carry around a tanking set on my Moonkin if I want to switch inside of a dungeon?
Being a druid, this is the biggest thing I've been waiting for since the expac.
Feb 10th 2009 10:20PM Question: Is there a way to shut off the intro cinematic so when I'm staring at a huge queue I don't have to listen to the dragon roaring but I can still listen to my music? (I.e., not muting the whole computer.)
Feb 5th 2009 5:26PM I work at a computer all day as well, and my displays are "only" 22". All three of them.
I also have the same setup at home. It works great for WoW where you can have the game on the center display, quest notes/wowhead on another, and music/email/etc on the third.
Of course people's gut reaction to something like that is "you must have money to burn." I just have my priorities a little different. I spend all evening at my computer, so I have a nice setup there. My couch was free, dining room table was free, etc...
Jan 30th 2009 3:33PM That's how Mike is dressed as he's raiding. You never know what's on the other side of that Vent.
Jan 29th 2009 12:06PM One of my recent favorites is in AV (if you're a rogue):
Stealth into Van's room, wait for a clothie (the guy who has been spamming "worst grup evar" in BG chat) to show up. Tricks of the Trade the clothie and ambush Van, then vanish.
Jan 28th 2009 11:22AM Now we need a guide on how to get rogues into heroic groups. I was in LFG for Heroic Gundrak for 5 hours so I can get the elder quest and never got one peep. I asked about finished ID as well, nothing.
This is why I rolled a druid. I can't zone in anywhere without getting asked to help in a dungeon. It's too bad, though. My rogue was my main and my achievement monkey.
Jan 22nd 2009 6:38PM Feral Druid. You can heal yourself. You can DPS with fast regening energy. You can stealth past things for pick em up quests. If you pull multiple mobs, or need to, you can be a bear. Doing those quests where you have to kill umpteen eels in Zangar you can be a fish-thing. You can fly earlier than other people, which means you can skip 2 levels of aggroing everything. You get invited to dungeons constantly and can get gear and extra XP there.
Downsides: Leveling up to early 20's is slow and tedious. Grinding as a cat is fast but boring. (At least for me, my main is a rogue.)
Jan 13th 2009 4:18PM Running all the BGs in order to get Great Honor turn-ins is a waste of time. At level 80, you get 990 or so for Great Honor. In my battlegroup, a Warsong Gulch typically lasts 30 minutes and results in a loss. In that 30 minutes you can run AV, sometimes twice, and get more honor than the whole Great Honor turnin.
I've been grinding AV on and off since Wrath came out. On a 10 minute loss, I usually get around 500 honor. On a 30-45 minute loss I usually get 1100-1300. On a 10 minute win I get around 800-1000. On a 30-45 minute win it's 1900-2200 honor. All these numbers depend solely on HKs. I played an AV where I captured 11 towers (back and forth on North and South), and 2 graveyards and got 600ish honor, where the person above me in the KB list with 0 captures but 4x the HKs got 1100.
Strand on my battlegroup is straight losing for Horde, so it's usually 350-600 honor for quite a bit of time invested.
I always do Wintergrasp... turning in Slay Them All Defend the Seige, and Victory in Wintergrasp. With Rank 2 and all those quests it's an easy 5-8k honor for 20 minutes or less.
Keep in mind if you take the Victory in Wintergrasp quest (which is only available a few minutes after the start), it counts as the BG daily.
Dec 16th 2008 12:49PM A lot of people in this post are saying, "a well-geared rogue". How do you get well-geared if you get kicked to the curb when it comes to doing instances... to get gear?
Do some normal instances to get some gear, then move onto heroics? Who's doing non-heroics? I couldn't even get someone to go to normal Nexus last night just to get the Winters Veil hat.
So because I can't do PVE that leaves PVP. Now I get to progress the stereotype that rogues are just ganking asshats.
The solution I was left to come up with: roll a druid. =/
