Apr 14th 2010 4:36PM Here's the problem I see: I want to play a healer that pays NO hybrid tax. All healer, all the time.
The constant expansion of the Priest class to support truly awesome DPS spec undercuts that. A class can't have it both ways.
If you get your way, what class to I play to be pure healer?
Perhaps someday if they launch another hero class that give me this choice, fine. But for now?
Sep 28th 2009 11:30AM Psionics.
Mind Control of Mobs and Mob pets.
Mind Over Matter--Healing contributions to Players. Effects may dissipate over time but are a great supplement to all healing classes.
Various mind crushing spells.
Ability to effect battles from a distance, etc. But taking damage when mobs mentally rebel against the Psionic.
Can't be healed by traditional means when damage is mental.
Lots of fun things to do.
Feb 10th 2009 7:05AM Hmm...maybe the net effect is that there will be a need for more healers per party or raid. I obviously notice that the job is much easier when the party or raid has that 1/2 or 1 extra healer in the group. DPS takes just a tad longer...but more live. Of course I'm a casual so ymmv.
Nov 12th 2008 9:42AM Everquest fell under its own weight in much the same way. It took a bunch of expansions and Sony's involvement to do it, but it happened.
I fear Blizzard will fall in the same trap if not allowed to set its own time frames and agendas.....
They now work for someone else..ugh.
Nov 12th 2008 9:11AM Just fix it and move on.
Blizzard would certainly be justified in banning if it had set forth a clear message: "Anyone who exploits the Arena Equipment Bug will be subject to discipline" or the like....
Instead, they made their intentions seem wishy washy, thereby leaving players with the impression that it might not be something Blizzard would take action on--which meant, if you didn't do it, you would be waaay behind your pvp peers....
Blizzard created the problem and, more importantly didn't give a clear statement as to its intentions regarding the problem.
Take back the gear. Move on. Any player that wasted time loggin in all of his alts to travel from parts unknown to grab these items simply wasted their time...
Nov 11th 2008 9:24AM Are you recommending all of those at the same time? Some seem to be duplicative..or am I missing something?
I'm not much of a techie and was just gonna load em all...but wanted to make sure.
Oct 30th 2008 3:43PM This will only work if the classes are actually truly distinct from one another. If, say, it teaches everyone why some types of healers are better than other, then fine.
If, at the end of the day, however, it becomes patently obvious that a holy priest is basically the same as all the other healing classes, albeit with different buttons to push, then folks won't be happy finding out they are homogenized...
