Dec 12th 2011 11:28AM Ahh, Spiff. Your video has become that of legend. I train journalists how to embed video in our CMS and I always send them the embed link to Code Monkey.
Old Print Newsies all around North America get their first digital start knowing Code Monkey Like You (a lot)!
I cannot thank you enough!
May 26th 2011 5:23PM Grovin,
Even without this awful scenario, I would suggest that guilds should already adopt a "no tolerance" rule for gold buying.
The logic is simple:
1) Gold buying is against the ELUA which we all agree to uphold
2) Anyone who buys gold is knowingly violating their virtual contract with Blizzard
Doesn't matter how much Mad DPS they bring to your raid, you don't want your guild's reputation to be in the hands of someone who has no problem with honesty.
Now throw the fact that their demand has created a market that enabled human rights violations and you can dismiss any "victimless crime" rebuttals.
God speed on those new guild laws!
May 26th 2011 5:02PM Saeadame, I honestly appreciate you trying to find something decent to say in the face of this (and cheers on heading over there to teach english), but I have trouble seeing this as a "step forward."
Sure getting beat with a pipe is better than having your head bashed in with a rock, but if that is "progress..." well, I know we all have our skeletons in our prison closet (waterboarding anyone?) - but this is just plain abuse.
Not down voting you, I just really wish I could let my amnesty international membership lapse. Hard to do that when stories like this pop up around the world.
May 26th 2011 4:03PM I cannot tell you how angry this makes me. I used to dismiss gold farmers as individually reprehensible, but to believe that they are driven slaves (in at least this case) just makes me furious.

Mar 16th 2011 2:36PM Thanks guys...
Focus, Golis, FOCUS!
(I use it for a bunch of other things, never thought to use it here)
Mar 16th 2011 2:15PM So one of the BIG changes made recently to Mind Sear was the ability to target friendly players as the focus of the sear.
For Multi-Dotting, I am in the habit of Tab targeting, but obviously you can't tab to the tank. I know how to build a macro that targets a person if I know their name, but I don't want to keep updating the macro everytime a new tank is found for another heroic.
Does anyone have a good Mind Sear macro that can target the tank before casting without editing their name?
Mar 9th 2011 5:37PM Fox, Love the article, but I am not sure about the Head and Shoulders enchants.
While the Arcanum of Hyjal is bind on account, if you attempt to USE the enchant and you don't have revered status, it won't let you use it.
The Therazane exalted enchant (Lodestone) is bind on pickup.
So in both cases, you are going to have to grind the rep yourself (totally worth it, but frustrating when it is your third toon to keep rescuing pebble).
Feb 25th 2011 5:10PM Waaaaaait a minute: Someone Shadows better than Fox???
I would need references first!
Feb 23rd 2011 12:17PM I live on an RP server (Shadow Council -A) and while most people don't make open attempts to RP (trade gets filled with "RP -- LOL" comments daily), there are a lot of little RP moments you see.
People who sit at the chairs in the Inn to take a drink before logging off at night
A gathering of (semi-)naked folks at the Trade Prince's pool (yes, I was the fully clothed Dwarf who simply looked and then flew away... I felt unwelcome there).
I even had a guild member (back before you could fly everywhere) who would never ride a boat all the way to the docks... instead he had an emote saying, "Mossrag jumps off the boat and swims for shore to avoid customs searches."
RP is there, just don't confuse RP with faux Shakespeare-esque nonsense.
