In-game fixes for Monday May 4th {WoW}

May 5th 2009 10:46AM I think that people forget that this isn't cruise control face roll content. Naxx was cruise control content to the max the fight mechanics were very simple. Fights were short. Bosses didn't even have much in the way of phases...That being said some people had a hard time not blowing up the raid on different bosses or not thinking about where they are standing and ice blocking a load of players...etc etc Naxx was free loot and it got everyone thinking they were good raiders. Ulduar even on its normal mode is definitely a step or 2 harder. Every encounter has several things even dps have to remember. Don't stand in this rune, watch out for overcharge, interrupt this...These are relatively basic things to remember, but its definitely a step up from naxx and players aren't used to doing that...

I also think people forget for Ulduar 25 you should be running around with pretty close to you "Epic" achievement to be appropriately geared. It helps if you have "Epic" skills as well.

Ulduar isn't excessively hard even more so with the current nerfs and it does allow for imperfect execution, but when players screw up big time it is much harder to recover.

Thats my 2 cents. I like the tuning they are doing because its still far more difficult than naxx and less forgiving...I'm by no means and elitist pro, but my 25 man guild has only managed 8 of the 14 bosses and no hard modes..

I don't tend to look for healers tho because I am one!

I often see the same groups spamming for hours for a healer...

Why "easy raids" are a good thing (for now) {WoW}

Dec 9th 2008 8:02AM Well supposedly there are going to be more raids in Wotlk, so that would lead me to presume that they are going to ramp up the difficulty at a later point or more evenly in general. I don't think this is such a bad thing having been a hardcore raider at one point.
I don't know what people expected with Naxx. Its older content and it should be cleared quickly. I haven't ran the eye and I don't can't speak of it or its difficulty
I think Blizzard really designed Sarth around the Drakes...and I don't think that was a bad idea. Everyone can get loot from sarth, but downing 3 drakes at the same time is just crazy talk.

I think the content is solid for guild building, but I'd definitely like to see harder content in the future that takes more time to learn.
