Aug 20th 2010 9:59AM I moved into my house that week, yup. Mental vision of loading BC into the computer, rolling a blood elf, and playing while surrounded by boxes.
Apr 15th 2010 3:05PM It is a vanity pet that happens to fly. It will be insanely common (considering the queues, almost everyone and their brother is getting one) yet I believe the hard-to-acquire mounts (Violet Protodrake and Headless Horseman's mount) will still retain their unique luster and respect for the work or luck involved in their acquisition.
I was one of the first to grab a Celestial Mount, the moment I heard the store was open. (I had no queue at all.) It's incredibly gorgeous. I don't regret spending $25 for all my toons to have the pony GC promised us.
Apr 15th 2010 2:58PM "I'm off to buy the pony that GC promised."
(And yes, I got mine immediately with no queue.)
Feb 13th 2010 8:57AM The bloggers do take swings at other classes @potatoboy, depending on the personality brand they bring to the table. It's appropriate for them to be proud of their class. And yes, since my main is a mage, I had the same thought about the magnificent writing (and hysterically funny warlock bashing) in Arcane Brilliance.
Feb 9th 2010 11:31AM I've been struggling with getting a handle on playing my kitty well, presently in mid-60s, and am so glad to have all this information IN ONE PLACE. Thank you thank you thank you.
Jan 18th 2010 10:15AM THIS!!!
I was in a somwhat trying PuG the other day with a cross-realm mage who did nothing but pew pew. I was spellstealing, interrupting, and protecting the healer when the occasional mob got away from the tank. At the end, the tank posted Recount (which generally irks me, even though I top it with some regularity) and "thanked" us for "not being lazy DPS."
However, and not surprisingly, I was not on the top of that list.
I pointed out that:
(a) Recount's numbers are reportedly less than accurate cross-realm and
(b) He might want to look at more than DPS numbers as the sole judgement of whether his team was doing their job. I was polite enough not to call him lazy for doing so.
When I looked at the Recount details afterward, the other mage never once did any of the utility jobs I'd been doing the whole run.
Jan 17th 2010 6:54PM I used to have a sheep-announce and got so DARN much grief for it, I took it off. It would inform the tank but annoy 3-23 other people? Tanks, please mark my sheep and end the confusion for everyone. If I sheep on the fly and you break it, then I assume you're willing and able to tank it.
Jan 17th 2010 6:50PM Arcane is the most common raiding spec I see now. I was FFB until Arcane got reworked. I wanted to stay in frosty goodness but saw every Arcane mage blow by me. I respec'd and it made a world of difference, improving my DPS by at least 50%. Frost for PvP; Arcane for PvE.
Dec 21st 2009 3:29PM Ditto. Yesterday I tried to Greed the Dragon's Prow Amulet with an eye to putting it up for sale -- I'd gotten one on another run that had no chanters and it sold immediately -- but like everything else from that later run, it got melted down.
Dec 9th 2009 9:52AM This is the best remark I've seen, and I concur. I'm Alliance main, and fiercely proud of being human. But it is a quiet nobility, a pride of self and a sense of worth and heroism. I'm not out to rub it in anyone's nose, and much as much as I think Varian is a dork and an dangerous leader, as Garrosh will be, I'll still take on any damn Hordie who tries to walk into Stormwind and kill my king.
That said, I still play Horde occasionally, and played Horde as my "main" for the first year or two I played. I encountered the most egregiously juvenile behavior I ever saw on Horde and not on Alliance.
If I had to guess why Horde is better represented in the mosaic than Alliance... I have paid attention to the endless tweets from @Warcraft on building the mosaic, I have considered going over to add to it... but I don't feel I have anything to prove.
