Aug 16th 2010 12:43AM Not a fan of DKs either, especially poorly geared DKs in heroics compared to other similarly geared tanks.
As for Feral Druid tanks in the end game... I like both healing one playing one myself.
Barkskin is 20% damage reduction on 1min cd, and Enrage is 12% with 1min cd... I kinda like having both of my dr abilities on such a short cooldown. I don't really miss Shield Wall, and I kinda hoped they would have made 4p t10 bonuses baseline abilities in Cata, but looks like bears will be getting a longer cd Shield Wall instead (while presumably still having Barkskin).
Aug 11th 2010 8:42PM Err, meant to say they did it WITH the 30% buff.
Aug 11th 2010 8:41PM Nope.
I believe Paragon was the first to kill it with 5% buff, with mixed 264/277 gear.
Aug 11th 2010 8:32PM Well, it's the next step in the sense that 25mans are a lot harder (yes, even if you're a "strict-10man raider").
It'll be interesting to see if they'll make 10mans harder in Cata since the gear drops will be of same ilvl. I expect 25mans will remain as the most challenging raid content that the top guilds are interested in, but hopefully 10mans will get closer in terms of difficulty.
Jul 28th 2010 7:42PM Is it possible to change/view your security question somehow?
I can't remember what I put there years ago, I'm not even sure if I could answer that question myself today. :-p
Jul 28th 2010 3:02AM I've tanked a lot with my warrior lately and their toolbox really makes my bear sad... I can shield bash one mob, silencing it, drag it to second caster while using heroic throw on the third one to force it to run to me too. And then I still have cool buttons like Concussion Blow, Shockwave and Spell Reflection left. After all that, bears feel rather limited (still love kitties tho).
Jul 27th 2010 11:22PM "What if there are multiple casters in a pull and a DPSer won't stop hitting something I'm not attacking? "
Casters are often a lot less lethal for non-tanks than free melee mobs. If the healer is even halfway decent this shouldn't cause too much trouble.
Jul 26th 2010 7:37PM "The Green Hills of Stranglethorn" never really bothered me.
Maybe it was because before WoW, I was a pretty hc MUD player (BatMUD in particular) and those had far more painful, grindy things to do than anything in WoW. One quest I could never complete was "The Curse of the Tides" (http://www.wowhead.com/quest=611), I've tried to do it with pretty much every ally character I've leveled and it has always bugged.
I really liked Nesingwary too, and just the general atmosphere of the zone. My first visit to Booty Bay felt like something from a Monkey Island game.
I still visit the place occasionally, doing ZG mount runs, and for some random world PvP action that can still be found there quite regularly, especially near the Rebel Camp.
Jul 18th 2010 7:10PM "On the EU servers I play, I never even see people mentioning vent, let alone mumble, it's Teamspeak only. "
Really, I play on EU servers too, and I've hardly ever seen anyone mention TS. It's mostly vent, with the more sophisticated people using Mumble.
Jul 18th 2010 5:38PM My guild switched to Mumble last year. No one has missed Vent.
