Breakfast Topic: What would be your biggest Mists of Pandaria surprise? {WoW}

Mar 18th 2012 8:47AM My comment was cut off

I meant to say Master Dee "The Tenacious"

Breakfast Topic: What would be your biggest Mists of Pandaria surprise? {WoW}

Mar 18th 2012 8:36AM I would be surprised if you run into a quest giver at the starting Pandaria zone (the 85 starting zone, not the level 1 new Panda zone) named Master Dee

... Actually, no I wouldn't

Breakfast Topic: What is your class theme song? {WoW}

Feb 14th 2012 8:35AM Not that I play a mage... but this seems too good not to use as a theme song

Legendary Weapons: Story chains or class quests? {WoW}

Feb 10th 2012 12:58PM I certainly think that Blizzard could re-introduce these special quest types in some modified form.

Perhaps it could be a item drop in a raid that starts it, but with loosened restrictions so that the item drop is viable for multiple classes (it could be a artifact that is restricted to certain races, or certain armor / weapon types)

The questlines themselves could interweave between solo,group and raid content, but since it isn't tied to a certain class, it would generally mean that multiple people would have a chance to experience the various parts of the quest chains

Taking Tarecgosa's quest line as an example, instead of getting the Call to Arms to start the questline, what could happen is that a [Broken Branch] drops that once was part of a staff. So anyone who could use staves as a primary weapon had a chance to loot it (in this case it would be priests, shamans, warlocks, mages, druids and hunters) with the quests interweaving between the solo and group content like before

The end result, though, wouldn't necessarily be a legendary (or nearly as difficult to complete), but rather a stat-less epic (between several choices, meaning you have to make a difficult choice) which you can use for transmog with the additional ability "Can be used for transmogrification on a staff or polearm"

This way, we could have the benefit of additional lore or "Oh wow" moments without it being necessarily a drama magnet (That being said, there is always that caveat that if something exists that is cool to have, there will always be a possibility of drama)

Transmogrification, imo, has plenty of potential even in raid settings. It opens up the possibilites for unique art assets that will rarely (if ever) appear elsewhere. An example of what i mean are the Twinblades of Azzinoth, which are unique sword models

And since these quests reward you with mogging stuff, it could also open up these quests to armor as well

Breakfast Topic: Will you be finding Love in the Air? {WoW}

Feb 5th 2012 11:59AM Bleagh... the confluence of all the limited period events happening at the same time. Life is all... over

I'm still trying to finish the lunar festival on my bank alt toons to get guild XP

Still trying to get the Darkmoon faire tickets... on 4 toons (must have mount)

And now there are 2 more limited time mounts (1 if you factor in the possibility that the crotch rocket is a total fabrication by Blizzard to drum up false hopes)

The 7 best suggestions for improving archaeology {WoW}

Jan 12th 2012 11:21AM I think expanding on the 'idea of making dungeons matter', instead of having an item that drops in the related dungeon i think i rather have an alternate keystone that you get when you dig at the appropriate sites

So as an example, while digging at a troll site, you have a chance at the following:-

Common - Troll Fragment
Uncommon - Troll Tablet
Rare - Ancient Sword Fragment, Ancient Drum Fragment, Ancient Fetish Fragment etc

So what you can get is an inevitable chance of getting the rare

The Fragments would be BOA, so you could transfer between your toons to get enough pieces and have a 'use' ability like:

"Combine X Ancient Sword Fragments to create an Ancient Sword Relic"
which you can then use to force open a solve for that particular item

Maybe you need 10 drum fragments to force open a Voodoo drum set solve, while Zin'Rokh would require more.

This doesn't mean you have to get enough fragments to open the solve, rather, its more like an alternate condition to open the solve (either get it through RNG or RNG enough fragments to force the issue either way)

By itself, it would give a modicum of progression, the feeling like you are at least heading somewhere.

In conjunction with some of the other suggestions, it would reduce RNG to more manageable levels by at least giving a possibility of 2 means of gaining access to that item, rather than one hopelessly random method.

Jan 10th 2012 11:01PM I won't lie, it made me laugh out loud when you inserted the MtG reference in the middle of the name description for Jokulhaups

Breakfast Topic: Did you accomplish your Winter Veil goals? {WoW}

Jan 2nd 2012 10:36AM No lumpy... so nope. didn't achieve my goal, which was to get it on my main (ran it on 3 other toons, one of which was a DK tank, just for the ability to solo the Greench, then log-swap all my toons to save the deer at one go.)

I did manage to get lumpy on one of my alts which would save me a bit of headache when they consolidate the pets for MoP
