Mar 14th 2012 3:16PM @cutaia - I'll take, things taken out of context for 100.
Mar 12th 2012 11:47PM @Noyou Agreed, especially if those journalists want to get anything from Blizzard ever again.
Mar 10th 2012 2:58PM Den, relax, it's a game, people have their own opinions. It's the internet.
Mar 9th 2012 12:07AM Sorry there's much more I think of first when it comes to WoW; murlocs=grown or not-isn't even in the top 5.
Mar 6th 2012 9:35PM It's not you specifically, but the attitude in general. What Blizz is offering to people returning is nothing compared to what they'll get back from monthly subscriptions.
This isn't about rewarding them, it's about them regaining subscribers.
I'm money in the bank to them. I've been a loyal player since '08 with only a month here or there where I let my sub lapse. I don't really care what they do to attract either new subscribers, or what they do to regain lost ones; doesn't affect my game playing one bit.
People always have to complain about something though. It's like siblings, one gets shoes another gets a toy, and each wants what the other has (in addition to what they already have), and it's silly. I find it laughable and sad at the same time that people are trying to figure out a way to game the game.
Mar 6th 2012 8:24PM I get so sick and tired of this selfish, self centered attitude of "Where's mine?" How about the anniversary pets and goodies they've given out for the past 3-4 years? Jesus, what do you people expect?
With the slump in subscribers due to economy, disappointment with cata, or burnout, Blizzard should be focusing on getting people back. If it bothers you that much go play something else but stop with the endless greed.
Mar 5th 2012 8:30PM @Hob, #3 reminded me of a conversation I had about 12 years ago. I was 34 at the time and ran into an old high school friend. I was recovering from surgery from a ruptured colon, and he was recovering from a stroke, brought on by a car accident. Over lunch we spent the majority of time talking about our health, medical insurance, meds and I started laughing. He asked what was funny and I said, "We used to talk about sex, drugs and music, now its health, insurance and medication."
I'd go on, but my old fart home has jello I don't want to miss.
Mar 5th 2012 1:55PM Absolutely none. That's not denigrating his contributions, simply a statement. I could only get through one page of that post before i gave up. Everyone needs to be so extreme on either side of the debate, as if there's no middle/common ground.
Yes, it's sad he got the axe, but no one in any job is irreplaceable. In the jobs I've had since I started working almost 30 years ago, there always seems to be one person who is universally liked, does their job well, and gets laid off.
Right or wrong, that's the nature of the beast. The good thing is, with his credentials, and what he's accomplished with Blizzard, I don't see him being out of a job very long.
Mar 2nd 2012 5:15PM You base this on nothing more than tin foil hat opinion. Show facts or stfu.
