Apr 24th 2009 1:33PM The AtlasLoot wish list is an easy solution for this problem. I spent a half an hour or so tabbing between Rawr, Firefox, and Wow, built my wish list, and stopped worrying about it. Before a boss kill, I pop up my wish list, check what (if anything) the boss drops that I need, and I'm good to go! Now I just need to update the list for Ulduar...
Jan 28th 2009 11:32AM Granted that the artwork could have been a little higher quality, I actually think that it's a fairly good choice for a WoW tattoo. People who play will recognize it immediately, people who don't play will simply see a fantasy-type bird.
The person wearing it (who is the only one who really matters in the end, since it's their body) will have a piece of art that commemorates the period of their life that they spent enjoying the game.
In fifteen years, if they've moved on to a new game or quit gaming, it will be a tattoo with a story that they can explain or not explain as they choose while still bringing back the memory of the good times playing WoW.
None of my tattoos are WoW-related and I don't currently have plans to get one in that theme, but if I did, it would probably be something in this vein - obvious to those who play, but just another piece of fantasy artwork with a little more individuality than most to those who don't.
Jan 7th 2009 2:03PM My husband and I are both 36. The oldest player I personally know of is my father-in-law, who is 64. He's not the world's best player, but he enjoys it and that's all that matters! Two of my husband's cousins and one of their wives also play, and I believe are all in their 40's somewhere.
Previously I was an officer in a guild where our co-guildleaders were a couple of RL friends who've been gaming together for years. They're 56 and 60. The funny thing is that I was the unofficial "guild mom" to people from 14 to those old enough to be my own father! :D

Nov 10th 2008 5:58PM I can't comment on Carbonite, as I haven't used it...but I did give QH a whirl and it just didn't appeal to me. TourGuide is my quest assistant of choice, in addition to Cartographer, LightHeaded, and QuestGuru.
My only quibble with TG has to do with my own playstyle, and it's not a big one...I'm a bit OCD about finishing every quest in the zone and TG tends to skip group quests and quests that the author views as not worth the time they take. But it's not like it's difficult for those of us in the OCD crowd to pick up the few extras scattered around, and overall it's a great addon.
