The Daily Grind: What turns you off to a game before you even try it? {Massively}

Nov 8th 2011 3:29PM Overly difficult professions that require collaboration with twenty different people with other professions is a big turn off...

But the other thing that has turned me off before is the fluidity of character motions. I was incredibly excited about LOTRO... but then I got to play it after buying the original collector's edition... and the characters felt so blocky, I started to feel constricted and claustrophobic.

5 reasons you should love Mists of Pandaria {WoW}

Oct 25th 2011 2:40PM I already love Mists of Pandaria because of my tinfoil hat guestimatation of the plot and the big bad:

I think I understand where they are going with this whole thing. With the Horde and Alliance waging battle amongst themselves among the Pandaren, they corrupt the Pandaren race. In bringing war and destruction to Pandaria, they strengthen the Sha race, which thrives on death and destruction. Before the Horde and Alliance came, the relative peace kept the Sha under wraps and weakened, but as war is waged, the Sha become powerful enough to consume Pandaria, and the entire world if some kind of peace cannot be found.

Serious? Yes, quite serious.

Breakfast Topic: To "grats" or not to "grats" {WoW}

Feb 14th 2011 8:30AM With a ż, actually. Or ʑ, if it's an awesome achievement, like creating a new character......

Breakfast Topic: To "grats" or not to "grats" {WoW}

Feb 14th 2011 8:26AM I belong to a guild ran by a guild leader who considers his auto-grats addon as his favorite thing ever, so he and almost everyone else uses it. For everything. This includes reaching every level including level 38 (happened a few minutes ago). If I went and got the haircut achievement, I'd get so many "grats" or "Congratulations Su***ma** for [Shave and a Haircut]!" in my guild chat, I'd rather choke myself on the hair. Blizz should ban that crap -- annoying is annoying. Spam is spam.

Feb 12th 2011 4:18PM What!? I'm a shadow priest and not even I knew about the Cult of Forgotten Shadow. That is completely frickin' awesome! It's little things like that, the lore of the minute aspects of single slivers in the game, that makes Warcraft stand out from the rest of the MMOs out there. THAT is why WoW > All.

Breakfast Topic: Should WoW bring back attunements? {WoW}

Feb 9th 2011 8:50AM What, you dropped out of Harvard, Bill Gates? Sorry, buddy, but you gotta get attuned to enter our money bin.

Breakfast Topic: Should WoW bring back attunements? {WoW}

Feb 9th 2011 8:47AM I should further note that giving reason to enter a dungeon is all Blizzard's responsibility. If they add a dungeon that has absolutely no lore behind it, that's their fault. Adding attunements isn't necessarily the answer unless you're primarily talking about requiring a completion of a quest chain in order to allow entrance into a dungeon. I can see and understand that -- it makes sense. A lot of the attunements required in the past, however, are simply ridiculous.
