Dec 16th 2008 12:36AM It's understandable that they wouldn't go through a whole lot of trouble to make unique gear at lets say Lv74, but the real issue is that Lv80 gear doesn't look any different. This is gear that a lot of us will be wearing for quite a while.
Sure everyones different and has different playstyles, but I for one am tired of looking exactly as I did when I first entered Northrend. And after running every heroic in Northrend, many of them multiple times, I've yet to see any real variation in gear (from a plate perspective at least), which is strange, because granted a lot of people will be getting into Naxx and the other raids, but a lot of people only have time for Heroics. And those people don't have a whole lot to look forward to currently, which is an unfortunate oversight on Blizzards part.
Dec 15th 2008 7:48PM The problem isn't that the colors are similar, its that there is almost no variation in the armor models. I've been wearing the same Plate shoulders since Lv71. The stats have changed, but the model hasn't. I think I've seen a total of three different plate shoulder models throughout my leveling in Northrend, which is on the low side. I was at least hoping to see something new at Lv80, but unfortunately, there's nothing to be seen. Not to mention all the plate epics from heroics are exactly like DK starting blue gear.
So my only options as a somewhat casual player is hope to get picked up in a Naxx raid, and hope my shoulders drop, or wait for the arena season to start. Kind of sad.
Would have been nice if they simply reused some of the Burning Crusade Tier armor, and re-textured it. Considering the vast majority of WoWs player base never saw that armor on their own characters, I doubt there would have been any complaints.

Nov 27th 2008 2:34PM You can reverse Death Grip if whatever you're trying to Death Grip has Spell Reflect active. It's pretty funny actually.
Nov 19th 2008 8:26PM I've been doing something similar for years, and thus have no problems with General, Trade, etc. It's always nice to leave it open just in case something pops in that is useful to you.

Nov 9th 2008 6:25PM Great article! The only thing I would point out is that Illidan was more of a mage than a warrior before becoming a demon hunter, at least that's how it came across in the War of the Ancients Trilogy.
