The Queue: Missing out {WoW}

Feb 27th 2009 12:48PM Noblegarden appears to be a week long event on the PTR, from 4/12 - 4/18.

The Queue: Praying for the PTR {WoW}

Feb 18th 2009 3:44PM Robert M:
Off the top of my head, the druid bear change for damage absorb is directly from the class complaints about having only dodge to stack for mitigation. There are probably similar changes to each class based on feedback. Things that the devs want to take to heart and make a change on. It was either that or push those to 3.2. With the sweeping class changes, 3.1 made more sense to them. I don't doubt that a lot of Ulduar and other changes were completed at the time of that interview. Priorities change: dual spec gets pushed up due to user base response. You have to give Blizzard credit for listening to their customers and responding, such as it is.

No good epic druid helms makes me a sad kitty. I'm fully epic on everything else. I would love an epic LW helm recipe...

WoW Insider Interview: You Play or We Pay part 2 {WoW}

Jan 16th 2009 1:14PM I don't think of it as advertisement. I didn't get out of the article at all that WI wants me to or is suggesting me that I purchase this service. WI presented the WOW community with a company offering a service. They then presented the community with an interview allowing the business owners to present their model and interact with the community.

Many, many, many people feel this isn't something for them for reasons listed (possible scam, waste of money, not worth it). I certainly wouldn't purchase it.

Don't fault WI for bringing information to the players.

Breakfast topic: Why didn't you tell me...? {WoW}

Jan 6th 2009 4:30PM /raidinfo will show you where you are saved to.

Yes, please please please just put your spec in the LFG. I will try not to annoy you by taking a moment and wowarmory'ing your character to see your spec, but you'll get an invite faster if I don't have to.

Please please please READ the notes on a player/group. "LF1M Need a healer" then don't whisper me asking if I need a hunter.

I use the raid markers to mark when I quest with my fiance. Make it a lot easier to find each other.

Druids can jump out of the water and shift to flight form.

For the debate as for when to go to Northrend, I am finding that i am making a lot of gold from questing at 80. I had 5 zones left to quest in when I hit 80 and am still not done. Clearing Basin net me almost 1000g with vendored rewards and quest gold.

Officers' Quarters: Waiting at 80 {WoW}

Dec 30th 2008 3:39PM When TBC came out, I raced through to 70 and regret it. I rarely instanced. It was quest-quest-quest. I'm 80 now, but I did all of the instances at their level, I spent more time reading quests and enjoyed the game a lot more. I still have at least 200 more Northrend quests left and am still enjoying it. That being said, our guild barely has enough 80s to pull off a 10 man. It's a very casual, real life guild first.

This question is very timely as I filled a 10th spot in another guilds raid and afterwards, they invited me to join them. After a lot of thought, I realized I had built some great relationships with my own guild members and wasn't ready to give that up.

Poaching for skins {WoW}

Dec 4th 2008 5:23PM Agreed. I "poach" all the time. I was 450 very early in the expansion. After the mobs hit level ~75, they seem to drop Borean Leather (instead of scraps) nearly 100% of the time, so it's much easier to get the Heavy Borean stuff.

Dragonblight is a great place to get Jormungar Scale very early. Plenty of people doing a quest to kill them and you can pass right behind them.

I do wish they had a short timer on them before allowing others to skin. There's a place in Zul'Drak with bats and spiders that ended up with some people not waiting for me to skin my own loot. That didn't bother me so much.

The one that got me was as I was AE farming rhinos in Boring Tundra for rhino meat (and leather), another druid comes up and skins my loot. I /s I am skinning these. Reply: "So, am I supposed to be sorry?"

No, you're supposed to have some common courtesy for other players.

I've long thought that players need to have a thumbs up/down rating system with comments. I'd surely tack a nice "Steals leather skinning drops" with a thumbs down on this guy.

Perhaps I should work on a JerkList mod that lets you make notes about such players you find in your travels.
