The Daily Grind: What's the MMO you played the longest? {Massively}

Feb 24th 2010 9:37AM EQ1 - (8-9 Years+) Enjoyed the amount of content and the difficulities of some encounters.
One of the main reasons I played for so long was the friends that you build, as well as the amount of stuff you could do and the amount of content the Sony to this day still puts into that game.

Things that other MMO's can learn..
1- Put out more expansions (they dont always have to continue to raise the level cap, put there is always room to increase abilities) Example -Everquest 1's aa system.. (More Content More to do, keep paying subscribtion fee and dont look at other MMO's cuz your bored in between time)

2- Dont make the game super easy, there can be teirs to bosses, example, dungeon bosses, raid bosses, epic raid bosses, but that way u can cater to everyone, hard modes in WOW = boreing its still the same fight, with twists..
There should be bosses that whole servers have to kill together. Hard on pvp i know but still can be a way.

3- End game content. Why does it aways have to be end game content? why isnt there more middle game content, etc...

4-Mentoring system- EQ2 got this right. (You scale down your spells and gear to be in range) + provide a small bonus to your grouped lower lvl friends

5-Player houseing, its not super important, but adds an easy to maintain element of extra content. (Guild Housing is nice as it brings guilds closer)

6-Boats - I loved boats in vanguard but the rest of the game was so buggy it killed all the cool stuff that was actually created there =( Its to bad they had money issues and had to put out somthing uncomplete.

Ok there is always more, I could go on, but I Hijacked this post enough already..

Trial account restrictions and the 30 percent problem {WoW}

Feb 15th 2010 9:29AM I agree, Mentoring system needs to be done, if Blizzard Fails to actually do somthing like this, I Personaly hope they fail to get new players till they realize it.

Also as a way to prevent "Gold Farmers" from taking advantage of the trial accounts, why not just have a lvl 1-20 (Trial Account Chat Channel) Anyone can join but not auto join. Easy done.

Breakfast Topic: Should we have to level every character? {WoW}

Feb 6th 2010 12:57PM I got 9 lvl 80's 2 lvl 70's and a ton of 20-40's , Why because there isnt enough to do in this game anyways.

My first thought after reading this post was what a baby this writer must be.. and here is some reasons why lvling up with "your" ideas would be a BAD idea..

Without the opportunity of leveling your char people would lose out on learning thier class and what each spell offers them.. If you got all your lvl 55 spells and went on your way there is many spells you would not have a clue of how they work or what the situational uses are.. At least 75% of the wow population dont have a clue as it is.

Imagaine your rolling a dungeon and you'd like some CC (Sheep, Root, Shackle) Well without lvling up chances are someone wont have a clue as the uses, such as Shackle is good vs undead and not humanoids, etc.

As It would be nice to have an option to lvl a little faster or be able to have higher lvl chars mentor u and provide a bonus to your xp gain, there is already a ton of ways to increase your xp gain.

1- Heirlooms +20% to xp
2- Rest XP
3- Recurit a friend +75% to xp (This can be done 1-20 with trial accounts) boom quick lvl 20..

The new dungeon tool is great tool as well now days. You get to experience the challenges of pugging low lvl content..

So please before you have nothing else to write about and want to complain about lvling up and have even more of this game handed to you, DONT.

I understand u needed to write about somthing to fill up your blog space but please dont put garbage like this on here again.. Thanks .
You take away that learning time we will have ever worse players then we do now

The Wrath you never saw {WoW}

Dec 28th 2009 7:40PM I find it sad that Blizzard has made many promisses of not putting anything out till it is finished and this expansion was a long way from finished when it was released. Like this article says there is all this unfinished zones, unexplained lore, I just wish Blizzard would have keep up with its commitment to doing what they claim they do.. Whats even more amazing is that we continue to put up with a broken game, I mean if they were putting out Expansions every 2-3 months I could see stuff being left unfinished but when it takes u over a year to put out an expansion its bad for bussiness to keep doing it, people get bored easily these days and if there was another game even close to this one but different, I see WoW's numbers declineing quicker then they anticipate.

Lets see what 2010 brings for the big guys at blizzard..

Why you don't have freedom of speech in WoW {WoW}

Dec 14th 2009 8:26PM Thats not entirely true, We do have the RIGHT to freedom of speech. However blizzard has the right to censor it on thier property. However, and here is the real part, No matter what blizzard does they do NOT have the right to break the law in any shape or form, they cant sew my mouth or keep me from saying what I want. I do have the right to remain silent however.. =D

As a side note though, How come this site is such a kiss ass to blizzard, I never happen to see any blogs giving other views besides, Blizzard is so wonderfull blah blah blah. How about some Balance on Wow.Com?

NYT: GAPP and Ministry of Culture clashing over Chinese WoW regulation {WoW}

Nov 7th 2009 3:36PM I'm Glad WoW is having problems in China, I feel for the Players there but for Blizzard as a company I hope China sticks it to them, Cuz they are run by a bunch of retards anyhow. Personaly You can attack my views here all you want, its my views and I am entilted to them.
For years Blizzard has had thier heads up thier ass, They keep "balanceing" things. I ask myself If It was my job to balance things and every month there was an issue with balance, I'm not doing my Job.. Plain and simple. I understand the need to fix issues as they arise but really for a game who has less content then Everquest or Everquest 2 they have a hell of alot more problems with things.

A friend once said to me WoW isnt a "Real" game its a chat room with action. I have to say thats so ture. Wow isnt a real game, its to easy.. The only hard part about WoW is finding people who arent retarded to play it with.

Anyhow go ahead and flame, its my views on this matter and this is the "Comments" section and I'm making my comments.

PS. WTG China!! Charge em double!
