Jun 4th 2010 2:20PM I haven't actively played my DK since my party laid into me for being a stupid noob tank. 30k gold in boe tank gear to be heroic uncrittable and now I honestly couldn't care less. The only use he gets is tradeskills.
I'm sure I could learn to be a good tank, but insults, stress, and more responsibility than I already have in RL make it a unappealing endeavor.
Dec 16th 2009 1:08PM 20,000g for a relatively high end weapon is not crazy for AH Players. After about 30 - 40K gold there really is nothing to spend it on except gear for alts and making more money (mounts are a gold sink). For the Gevlon types, playing the AH is just another form of pvp, and is fun in its own right. However you have to spend it on something to stay motivated to play more.
My person motivational threshold is 60k gold. At that point, I go on a spending spree till I get down to about 30k gold again, and repeat. Considering I just hit a new high score of 68.7K gold, (thanks to everyone buying my gems at a breakneck pace), 20k gold for a hilt is completely reasonable. I'd still have cash for Merlin's Robes with some to spare. I'd rather spend cash which is easy for me to come by, then loot priority in guild.
Nov 10th 2009 12:48PM As a previously raiding, now father to a 5 month old boy, raiding pretty much stopped altogether. When I am needed, he comes first. AFK's with minimal notice in the middle of a raid make you a liability. Thus, I only raid as an alternate with the full understanding of my guild that I might drop out at any second with baby aggro.
I am lucky that Ascension on Madoran are such good people. I was a pretty hardcore raider before my boy, and I think they make allowances for me now.
I just try to keep myself moderately raid viable with badge gear and working over the auction house to get money for the current crafting orbs.
Nov 2nd 2009 3:47PM It was great for my wallet. Very few people visit Thunder Bluff, thus the infection was always manageable. As a major producer of gems on my server, I enjoyed near complete lack of competition. When people actually made it to the AH, they were not sticking around to hold out for a better price. And the only option was mine.
Oct 23rd 2009 3:25PM One thing that would add a good bit of fun and flavor to the game, would be for crafters to be able to customize the look of the items they can make. Even something as simple as being able to change the color scheme would be a great boost. Multiple item models would be harder, but very much cooler.
Oct 6th 2009 2:33PM Now if it would work on the patterned floor in Wintergrasp Fortress that seems intentionally made to make sure those pesky mages can't get away....
