Aug 2nd 2010 1:07PM Names will be unique per server. That has been covered previously by a dev response on a fan site.
So it sounds like servers will be set up in more or less a 'traditional' fashion, which is a disappointment to me. It's one of the most annoying things about playing WoW - but perhaps with a smaller playerbase it's not so much of an issue.
Jun 15th 2010 11:22AM I played some "casual" arena in the time period Moore sold his points and did his win trading, and was moderately successful given the amount of time I could play. But there was NOTHING more frustrating than winning match after match against teams that were equally geared, but then getting rolled by a team with the members all sporting the weapon or some other piece of gear you know requires a rating MUCH higher than the bracket they're currently in. And when you saw that they got lots of points, or average points, for beating you it's clear they're either a re-roll (experienced and geared characters on a new team) or a point-seller raising their team's rating back up after throwing several matches with talentless scrubs.
It's basically like enjoying your weekly social softball league and then a bunch of MLB players show up and cream you. Not only is it no fun to be creamed, but now my team's record suffers resulting from a match we had no hope of winning.
I'm glad Blizzard took the steps they did. I loathed point-sellers and feel strongly they have no place in the game. I was no PvP god, but I sure enjoyed actual competition against players of my own skill. Players like Moore take that concept and give it the finger.

Healer thinks . o O (OK I have enough HoTs going, I can b-rez him)
Healer battle-rezzes the DPS corpse
DPS immediately dies to AoE
Aug 3rd 2009 7:24PM Anyone know of the current viability of quick leveling through instance mob-tagging, the same technique that Athene tried to use to be world-first 70-80? In that case they failed because Blizzard knocked them back to 70, but I don't think the mechanics have changed?
Jul 30th 2009 2:27PM My first run in WotLK Naxx. My Holy Paladin replaced every single piece of gear except for boots, bracers and helm in that run. Other than that, nearly everything dropped was Pallygear, and on gear other classes could roll on, other raid members had it or didn't want it. It wasn't like everyone was Ulduar-geared either and I was the scrub being carried... just everything broke his way. Like, there was a divine force watching over him. ;)
Jul 9th 2009 3:04PM What caught my eye from the first few responses to the Q&A was this question from Gregthegreat:
"You refer to Judgment of Justice as a gap-closer; however, this spell has an 10 yard range, just like Judgment of Wisdom or Light. Obviously we must have been in melee range to apply it. Is there any thought to boosting the range of this specific Judgment then? "
Wow, I couldn't have put it any better.
Jul 2nd 2009 11:20AM I plan on using this at some point. I'm a casual player with two 80's - one Horde one Alliance. Since I'm playing almost exclusively Alliance now I would love to switch my Paladin to the Alliance side. Since my characters are on different servers too, I would want to couple my faction shift with a server transfer as well.
Frankly, I don't care about the Lore of such a service. I'm not even sure why there needs to be Lore behind this. The reasons for my switching are not based in the game, I want to switch because my RL friends play Alliance on another server, and I want to give myself access to more characters there. Who cares about Lore? :P

OK, that video is funny... :D
On a serious note I have some friends who are 'furry' - I guess this makes me a 'furry friend'. :P In fact you could say my guild's majority are furries. Yeah, it's a very strange lifestyle. No I don't get it. But you know, it's the nicest damn group of guildies you could ask for.
