Nov 3rd 2011 3:13PM One of my most recent finds is the PvP addon 'Battle Herald'... it's a nice voice-over for BG events and decent/simple UI for flag status and such. Fast-paced BG's might make the voice-over annoying, but ... I find it to be more useful nonetheless.
Oct 30th 2011 9:32AM Personally, I've long maintained that what Warcraft needs these days isn't really another class, but instead a fourth spec.
Imagine my surprise when they're doing it for Druids. They stole my idears!
Anyway. I think that the existing ten classes (well, soon to be eleven) could each be added a fourth talent tree, and that would cover most of the 'missing' class options in the game. For example;
Hunter: This would be the ranger/dark ranger class - I've wanted to play one of those sexy dark rangers since they were added, and I think it would have been doable. A version of the hunter that looses the pet but instead gains actually USABLE melee abilities would have been great. (Of course, MoP drops the ranged+melee thing so THAT's out now.)
Paladin: I want a Shadow Paladin. I've been told "dude, that's just a Death Knight!" and .. well, sorta, but I think there could be some nice new abilities in there. I think a Shadow Paladin could be a nice little AoE DPS'er (one of the thing the Paladin has historically been completely worthless at). PLUS maybe they could also use intellect plate! The silliest slice of gear itemization.
Mage: One word: Magetank. I think a pure-mitigation magetank would be fun. She'd be all about things like walls of ice and fire, to both hold back enemies and damage them at the same time. In my pre-cata idea, the mage would never take personal damage (as that would have been an easy one-shot) but now that gear is incredibly heavy on stamina, the mage could still take some hits.
Druid: The new feral split notwithstanding, I thought that what the druid needs is very obvious: a plant/nature based combat spec! Like the mentioned 'minion' classes, this druid would summon little waves of plants and such and direct them at the enemies. This is one of three 'minion' classes I'd like to see implemented; see below.
Priest: This one has me wobbling a bit between another healing spec or a DPS spec... I've got some vague ideas about a sort of 'enhanced' Disc who's a master at mitigation (shield spells of many flavours!), or perhaps a focused AoE damager - but holy instead of shadow. Not really clear ideas here, alas.
Warlock: Second 'minion' class. The Warlock is, by definition, not in the slightest bit interested in the welfare of their pets, so why not summon up a swarm of imps to send at the enemies, just to watch them die in little fireballs? Sort of a managed DoT/AoE mixture I would imagine.
Rogue: Like the 'ranger' hunter, I'd like a kind of 'trapper' Rogue. I had some kind of nebulous ideas for this, but when I played Rift's Sabotuer class, that's exactly what I wanted - a utility class (mostly) that's about setting up enemies for a lot of punishment, though not necessarily from the rogue himself. The trapper rogue makes a hunter's traps kinda laughable - he'd be throwing slowing traps, dot traps, rooting traps, vision-reducing traps, etc, but he'd have many of them out at once.
Death Knight: Perfectly aligned with an idea I believe I read at OrcishArmyKnife, this would be the third 'minion' class - where the DK can summon a more persistent Army of the Dead and direct their attention around - and the dying ghouls would be showering diseases on the targets. Plus, as OAK brought up, this would be another place to give Intellect Plate to, to spread that love around.
Shaman: I'm not a Shaman player, myself, but I feel that an "earth" spec is really required. Maybe it would be about roots and snares or .. something. This one I'm not too clear on, I'm afraid.
Warrior: ... honestly, I have no idea. Perhaps a pure classic "berserker" spec, which ups the berserker stance into something more terrifying, but a warrior who gets enraged but penalized with every hit they take.
Jun 2nd 2011 10:55PM Nobody appears to know about the legendary "Hard Gay" Razor Ramon, a Japanese wrestler and comedian (in no way related to the American 'Razor Ramon').
Youtube some Hard Gay episodes, like his invasion of Yahoo for example. Epic Japanese wackery.

Nov 23rd 2010 4:42PM Well, there's one I don't have ... so count me in!
Sep 15th 2010 9:54AM Well, my TOWEL, that's priority number one. Beyond that, definitely a packed iPod for musical sanity, and you know, I think my WIFE, too. Yeah, that's a good collection, there.
Aug 1st 2010 1:21PM It seems that I was misunderstood before. That's MY mount! Hello?
Jul 27th 2010 9:02AM I've always had a bit of an RP bent; I came into Warcraft escaping from the fiery death of SW:Galaxies, and created a Blood Elf Paladin who was a survivor of Arthas's attack. I detailed a little synopsis of her life, the heroism of her father in trying to hold off the scourge as citizens escaped, and the later suicide of her mother. When the Blood Knight Paladins were founded, she joined immediately and off she went.
And when Wrath came out with Death Knights ... I finally knew exactly what happened to her Father. Nice synchronicities there.
But then ... Warcraft is just NOT designed to really support a role-playing mindset. Though I like to keep the stories in mind, they don't emerge in game play. That's just .. silly.
