Jan 5th 2010 12:28PM I don't care if Oculus drops Natalie Portmans; I'd still rather go get a sandwich with that 15 minutes.
It's just that I find the mechanics annoying. If that's your thing, I'm sure your groups will be happy to have you tanking/healing instead of me.
Dec 4th 2009 9:33AM Didn't we hear almost this -exact- same thing about PvP in Wrath?
Nov 25th 2008 11:32AM I'm sorry to hear a GM was rude to you, but imagine the wait times for speaking with someone if Game Masters went around respawning every mob that someone thought they deserved.
Ragnaros was a 1% and our healer lagged! Down him! I found a time lost proto drake and someone beat me to him!
Not to mention the fact that things like that are completely impossible to verify unless you want GMs to take screenshots as proof, which has a million negative outcomes.
Truth is mobs are resources and resources are limited, and while that guy was being a total jerk in killing your spawn, it's not a violation of the rules.
As I'm sure your rude GM told you, if you feel that the rules regarding mobs should be changed, you're welcome to post them on the suggestion forums.

Nov 25th 2008 11:13AM While this conversation has gone way off topic, the reasoning is simple:
Most people think that a proper punishment for anything they might report for is a ban, and that's not always the case. You also have to understand that RP comes in different flavors, from casual to hardcore and many people might not take issue with the name you report.
GMs are human and they make judgment calls on naming issues pretty much every day, but the reason you don't get information about it is because their appraisal might not necessarily agree with yours and it's a lot easier to tell people it's being looked into than to argue with them about why they're right and you're wrong.
In addition, the "satisfaction" survey is more about how the GM handled your petition, not if you like the outcome. If you petition in because you delete something and a GM is unable to restore it, does that mean they did a bad job?
You can always infer the consequences from the violation pyramid thing at www.blizzard.com/policy.
