Cataclysm races leaked {WoW}

Just one problem with that, the forsaken were alliance before they fell to the scourge. The forsaken/worgen analogy does fit though, except that it points to worgen joining the horde. The alliance denied the forsaken for being dead. The alliance denied the blood elves over an addiction. In both cases, that drove the people to the horde. Worgen going to alliance doesn't fit without some serious retcon action.

WoW gamer threatens to blow up plane {WoW}

Jul 14th 2009 4:38PM Balmer, if you read the linked article, it doesn't say that the kid told the police he was going to do it. According to the police report, he made the threat in-game. Here's the relevant quote from the linked article.

The 18-year-old, who lives in the 4000 block of Ridgemere Drive, Greenwood, told Johnson County deputies that he was playing a popular online role-playing game early Monday morning when he issued a threat that he "was going to board a plane at 7:30 to Chicago and that (he) was going to try and kill as many Americans as possible," according to an incident report from the sheriff's department.

World of Warcraft 3.1 PTR Patch Notes {WoW}

Feb 24th 2009 2:42AM So, looking at the DK changes, the only thing I don't really care for are the Aura/Presence changes. From what it sounds like, the Improved Presence talents will no longer be a raid-wide buff. If that's the case, I don't know if I would bother picking the talent up.

The Improved Unholy Presence is interesting, though. If you can regenerate runes fast enough to make up for the reduced global cooldown, then dps in unholy presence could potentially be viable. I can't help but wonder how this would affect pvp, though. I don't really pvp, so I wouldn't know.

As for moving Howling Blast and other 0/32/39 nerfs. Yes, DW needed to be nerfed. DW was simply outperforming the gear lvl. Were all of you crying for BM hunters? What about warlocks? I guess you just don't feel a nerf to another class as much as you do your own. I know I wasn't crying for paladins pre-wrath.

As for warlocks, how about instead of adding a talent to reduce Metamorphosis' cooldown by 54 seconds, how about adding a useful 51pt talent for demo? I would love to see the Doomguard take that spot. Although, that wouldn't work since blizz has yet to make pets not named felhunter or imp useful. I suppose they accidentally gave the voidwalker a reason to exist, as well.

World of Warcraft 3.1 PTR Patch Notes {WoW}

Feb 24th 2009 2:13AM Siphon Life is being removed completely. Corruption will do the healing. Although, I guess it could be viewed as a dmg nerf, since it doesn't say if it also increases Corruption's dmg to compensate.

My lock is only lvl72 and I spent most of that time as demo but, is Siphon Life that big a chunk of dps? I always just used it to balance the damage caused by life tapping.

Big changes for Hunters in patch 3.1 {WoW}

Feb 6th 2009 2:40AM A shard bag is just like a regular bag, except you can only put shards in it. If you have a sould shard bag and you create a soul shard, the shard is automatically put in the bag, if I'm not mistaken (never wasted my time using them since I always had 4 16slot bags on my lock).

I would be fine with still having to farm soul shards all the time if they at least stacked. I would even be fine with only stacks of 5. Anything is better than the current situation. Then again, I'm one of those warlocks who jumped over to the Unholy Death Knight camp. It only took a small patch for the reagent requirement for summoning ghouls to be removed, through a minor glyph. Where's the warlock love?! =)

I've never played a hunter but, this change looks to be incredibly good for hunters. I can't really speak for the rest of them since I don't know the class mechanics.
