May 29th 2011 10:25PM Holy Shock and Crusader Strike don't share a cooldown, using both can amp up your holy power production rate noticeably, and you can gain mana from melee strikes with Seal of Insight. I do this whenever the tactic is sensible - which is not always, but it is definitely a viable method.
May 2nd 2011 3:27PM Yep, unfortunately after the repeat sprees of "OMG Blizz didn't donate ALL the money to charity?!" over the older store pets, I just knew someone would try to complain when they actually did donate the whole lot. Well trolled, well done on the lack of imagination, and I sure as hell bought one (for my wife) the moment I loaded up Firefox this afternoon.
May 1st 2011 4:50PM Oh, duh, forgot to add - pretty much don't dispell. I've found people die during the time it takes me to try and get a stack off them. Dispell in the first, perhaps 15-30 seconds can be worth it, but after that I don't even try.
May 1st 2011 4:48PM My advice would first be - check that everyone is doing their jobs properly. The group damage that can be taken when people are not killing the eagles or standing under the target of the storm is totally unmanageable - and I'm in near complete raid healing plate.
That obvious comment aside, I find overall throughput is your friend. Keep holy radiance off cooldown, blow Divine Plea + Avenging Wrath the moment you dip below 80% mana, keep the eagle target topped off the whole time, and hope like mad your group is awake. If you get it right, it's a short fight, so Chase's comment about not conserving mana stands. Throughput and reflex-triage is what you need.
Mar 15th 2011 10:19PM I would note, Colossus Smash is not really having a different effect as much as a reduced effect in PvP - that's not as complicated to understand and is not the first ability to be changed thus: PvP CC durations, for one. This kind of change is both sensible and still in line with players not having to learn two-uses-for-each-ability.
After all, in both PvP and PvE you still use Colossus Smash to make people hurt more. ^_-
Feb 11th 2011 6:15PM I have to agree here. Fair enough, if you're working with your guild or friends to get yourself into heroics -with them- ASAP then this method has it's benefits, but for a Rookie guide, to people very likely planning to use this advice to enter PuG heroics - seriously, no. This will only get you into the instance in a state of gear -less- ready for the difficulties of a heroic than you would otherwise, which is going to upset you and the people you PuG with.
Feb 11th 2011 6:07PM I think the advice Robin and Lisa have offered is bang on the money. I would also agree that sometimes relationships can be complicated stuff, even more so when you try to take them from an online basis to more direct contact. And also that - yes, people these days still don't quite understand the basis for a relationship that can form online. However...
I met a lady online about 8 years ago now. Neither of us were looking out for someone, but we got to talking, to chatting online, emails, phone, etc, etc. I spent nearly four years visiting her as often as I could, when things blossomed, the cost of said trips nearly bankrupted me on various occasions. I always had people look at me oddly when I explained the details to them, and although my family was never anything but supportive, I could feel on more than one occasion that they felt 'it would never last.'
I met my wife on an online game (not WoW, as it happens). We got married four years ago. She came to live in the UK with me for two years, and now I've been living in her hometown in Colorado for two years. Yep, that's how far apart we were.
I was sure, the whole time, that I wanted to do all that I did. I was sure from the first moment I managed to meet her face to face. So give it a shot. It can work out.
Jan 24th 2011 1:42AM Dear lords, are we suddenly all so lacking in decent trolling material as to comment upon the lack of articles on Ret and Prot, in a Holy Pally article?
Really, folks. Sunday has been Holy Paladin Day (should that be an annual holiday or something?) for some time now, the quality of the articles is excellent, and there is nothing in the name that is ambiguous about it's content.
I play Holy and Ret. I like these articles, and await the return of the regular Ret articles with interest. Enough with the complaining.
