Patch 4.3.3 will break the current 64-bit WoW client {WoW}

Feb 27th 2012 6:59PM I honestly would like to know which part would be considered trolling, I tend to refrain from commenting on this site because As mar says, if you say something bad about blizzard, down rated to oblivion. I fail to see how I'm trolling here. Blizzard should focus more on content (why someone who hated the game would say something like that is beyond me, I love the game, I'm bored as shit with it) and less on marginal performance gains (I would say it's probably slower if you don't use a ton of addons) and improving their 7 year old gfx engine.

What I said about supporting a 64bit environment is also absolutely true, it's not a technically difficult task it just takes resources so don't half ass it. Either commit or drop it, anyone who is begging for a 64 bit client knows nothing about computers and blizzard knows this, so why cater to them when their resources could be spent elsewhere.

They are loosing subs and I think this is one of the reasons they are... I don't say these things cause I want blizzard to fail, it's not cause I'm some Tor fanyboy, it's because I think it's a legit reason. Tell me why what I'm saying is trolling in a logical argument and I'll give up but I'm clearly not trolling, just stating a difference of opinion.

Patch 4.3.3 will break the current 64-bit WoW client {WoW}

Feb 27th 2012 2:46PM Yes I'm a wow hater, after having played seven years since beta and having owned just about every single blizzard game ever made (since before they were blizzard) and owning the annual pass. Clearly I'm in no position to express an opinion on this, it's really pathetic isn't it. (hint: troll somewhere else)

Just because I have an issue with the game doesn't mean I hate it. I'm desperately hoping MoP fixes a lot of things but I don't see it happening because of stupid shit like this. Exactly what was wrong or hating on wow other then this stupid 64bit client. That's right nothing.

Effin children all over this site can't take criticism.

Patch 4.3.3 will break the current 64-bit WoW client {WoW}

Feb 27th 2012 10:04AM I understand it's beta, that doesn't mean that a beta should be released when it's going to completely break the game, that's what internal testing is for.

My point was more about how it's stupid at all that blizzard is wasting time on a 64 bit client and that wasn't clear but the reason most programs don't have a native 64 bit runtime is not because it's difficult to support, it's because it's slower for most of the programs and is actually a performance loss. WoW doesn't need a 64 bit client, it needs to stop hemoraging customers like it just got out of a fight with ony ;) They aren't leaving because of lack of support for 64 bit, it's because there is very little new content, and has been less and less since BC. (cata to be fair had a ton of content, but much of it was for lower then 80's so that is what it is)

Feb 27th 2012 9:52AM @ perry

As far as I know direct x addresses the memory management for the video driver and that is always running in 64bit mode on a 64bit system. I think this only affects system memory.

Patch 4.3.3 will break the current 64-bit WoW client {WoW}

Feb 27th 2012 9:42AM This is stupid, first wow has no need of a 64bit client, more likely it is slowing down the program rather then speed it up unless you are using a ton of add-ons.

Second it's 2012 how is blizzard still having difficulty supporting a 64bit client.... Blizzard I knew ye well and then activision came up and ruined you.

Should Blizzard leave heroic encounter difficulty alone? {WoW}

Feb 22nd 2012 10:04AM It's why I quit =(
I'm playing tor, and the tera beta and I'll wait til MoP til I make a final decision, I have the annual pass anyway

3 things Warzones taught me to love about Battlegrounds {WoW}

Feb 21st 2012 9:49AM @bossy
go play tera and say that again, I dare you. Makes fps's from a year ago look like crap and run twice as fast as tor or wow. Built on the Unreal engine.

3 things Warzones taught me to love about Battlegrounds {WoW}

Feb 21st 2012 9:47AM You even make it to level 50 or you just play for 10 minutes and call it a day? Because your understanding of how pvp works is lacking especially in huttball where strategy is key. The point of strong stuns if to force you to pass the ball, or tank it until you are resolved.

I won't say either way which I think is better, I think they are both bad when compared to tera (although pvp battlegrounds have been in beta yet only dueling), but your complaints are clearly a lack of understanding.

If you were playing with good players, you would have another player waiting on a different level then you waiting for a pass. It's not that heard, use your cc break, pass the ball to a wide open player who will force sprint to the goal untouched while the 7 other players of the team are stuck. It's called strategy something that wow battlegrounds are lacking (and some of the warzones too =/ ).

As for performance i have an i5 and a 5850, full detail and no slowdown whatso ever (on ilum (aka wintergrasp) it does happen from time to time), although I have heard other complaints so your milage may vary.

It's still far to early to make any decisions it's not obvious one way or the other with tor being so new but what you wrote above was just silliness coming from a clearly either a bad player or someone who didn't give it a chance.

How to kill a healer {WoW}

Feb 10th 2012 12:50PM Article could use some more information then interrupt and use cd's. Going up against anyone who has a shred of how to heal in pvp will mop you up while they let you interrupt their small heals. It's not about intrupting, it's about interrupting the right things for anyone who knows how to play at all.

Ol' Grumpy and the Dragon Soul nerf {WoW}

Jan 20th 2012 12:39PM I'm not trying to be viccious or say I'll never play again but
"Fewer than 200,000 players have finished normal mode Dragon Soul"
I honestly think (and we'll never know unless blizz tells us) it's because the raiders are leaving from the top down causing more people to go to lfg. I have the annual pass and I just have zero incentive to play after the heroic FL's nerf. Heroic modes were given to the hardcore players to keep them around while blizzard continusly nerfs the difficulty, and then they started nerfing that.

For me, I know I don't have enough time to do a heroic rag kill or w/e but I'd like to be able to compete with other guilds for that 2 or 3 spot without having it mean less then the people who were able to kill it earlier. It broke up my guild and I know several others that had the same thing happen.

Yes your going to say turn off the debuff this time which is a great option if you don't care about being competitive at all but for us it wasn't an option. I'll see when MoP comes out if I'm still playing tor (very buggy right now, sigh) but I just don't want to invest the time anymore when I know blizzard is going to change what they say and do what they want to bring in sub numbers.

I'm ok with everyone seeing content, that's what normals are for but heroics should remain tuned for the best. It's frustrating to work on a boss for 3 weeks only to have it nerfed and you clear everything but the end tier boss. Takes away alot of hardwork.
