Aug 1st 2009 6:47AM as a tanking druid the 2 primary stats which are useful for you are agility and stamina.

on any of the tanking rings you will find strength and massive amounts of stamina, far more than you'll get on any of the rogue DPS type rings.

while defence ins't require the "anti-hit" portion of it (it's not quite dodge really) does still give benefit.

tl;dr aye, get "normal" tanking jewllery/head enchants (though maybe the PvP shoulder enchant if you're low on health)

Jun 30th 2009 5:56AM then the issue there is with your guilds DKP system. you might want to look at something to bring down your higher levels, be it a time based reduction, an upper cap, a fixed price for items or one of the 100 other options.

and WOE IS ME other people get as much chance at an upgrade as i do. if anything it's MORE fair on everyone in the pug and doesn't favour the 1 undergeared scrub that you've dragged through if your top DPS happens to be missing 1 piece of gear for his set bonus.

Jun 30th 2009 5:43AM iirc ensidia were the only people to do it in under the original 2 minute timer?

they were looking at 2.20 without spellsteal buffs, and 1.59 with them.

and after correspondance with the dev team, about a method they used to kill which they quite clearly documented, they decided to up the timer to make it more realistic.

they took buffs avaliable to them, and used them to help defeat a boss, using the other buffs avaliable in that particular fight. without this extra boost the fight would be near impossible within the current gear level (maybe possible towards the end once everyone has BiS but even then it's tight). this is akin to using your midsummer foods ontop of your normal food buff, zomg that's clever right there, but it's an avaliable buff, and i don't think anyone would make a huge deal of someone getting a world first while buffed with it.

what Exodus did, was remove the 10-15 adds in p3 that make y0 an achievement. the management of those is what's important, and they didn't do it. they deserve the book thrown at them.

i don't really understand why people seem to think that because you think like this i'm some sort of fanboy, rather than a rational onlooker.

sadly i can't quite work out why they're taking them back, or even not allowing them in the EU in the first place. the rest of the promotional stuff to do with the game fuel, yea that's fine, that's a competition where they need to send you stuff for doing stuff. but this is an electronic delivery, obtained by clicking a link and identifying yourself.....

May 11th 2009 10:21PM we had a situation tonight, where in a 25 man raid we only had 2 paladins. so some people could have had wisdom and others wouldn't. this new system would allow us to give that to some classes, but not others, and have the totem cover others when in range.

25 man fight, you've been wiping for 3 hours so far. your raid leader decides you just can't push through before that enrage timer as is. so he's swapping out a healer or 2 for DPS.

would you rather run with A) the backup DPS that don't normally make it to raids or B) the healer that has been watching the fight for 3 hours, knows where to stand and what to do?

no one forces you to play the game their way, but i'm damn sure im going to be on top of my game for my raid guild. if you're not willing to meet those critera then raiding probably isn't for you, but don't be getting all high and mighty about it.
