The Queue: Heirlooms, mounts, and more {WoW}

Jan 16th 2009 6:20PM If I had a level 20 that I wanted switched, I could understand the stfu and reroll attitude. But I have survived through the years before transfers were available (which is when I leveled my main and notable alts) during which time I didn't even know there was another yard with greener grass in it! Yeah, I guess I should just QQ and save my pennies if I really want to jet.

Jan 16th 2009 2:01PM Why am I stuck on a PvP server? I hate PvP, and when I started this game I didn't even know what PvP was, since this is my first mmo. I just rolled on whatever server my friend was on, and now four years later I'm still stuck on a low-population PvP server hoping for the day when I am permitted to move all my characters over to a PvE realm.

I realize I could pay for the switch, but I don't want to pay for all of my characters to have to switch over! That's too much money! Why wont Blizzard give us PvP refugees a break!

Hi, my name is mandy* {WoW}

Dec 19th 2008 2:26PM Yeah, mandy, I hear ya.

Was on a city raid that my guild was hosting recently to get the black warbear achievement and someone yelled something about how we were on an epic quest to "kill fags and rid the world of AIDS." As a gay man, I wasn't particularly impressed by this behavior. Actually, I was downright mad. And since I was listed as an assist in the raid, I was tempted to boot the offender as a method of exacting my own personal revenge. But then I noticed that he was a guildie. What to do?

I let it slide because we were, at the moment, engaged in a joint effort among about forty people and I didn't want to derail the efforts of everyone else for one ridiculously immature person. And the rest of my guild is pretty good about policing this type of behavior (others have been kicked out for homophobic comments). So I chalked it up to a bad day in Azeroth, and moved on.

Breakfast topic: The good old days {WoW}

Dec 12th 2008 4:44PM I was just thinking about speccing into innervate, and how I remembered hearing this whiny priest call out for an innervate in the middle of a Rag fight. "Innervate Maelina!" Luckily, I was raiding on my Warlock (destro, because you certainly couldn't raid as affliction - cause you would NEVER get all your dots to stay on the boss!) and didn't have to be her personal innervate bitch.

I also remember farming mats for Fire Resist potions for Ony for the people who couldn't avoid the Deep Breaths, and the sheer terror of seeing that crowd of whelps coming at me.

I remember my pathetic little PC crashing every time I made the mistake of trying to go through Hillsbrad in the middle of an epic battle.

Thanks for the Sweeney reference. I suspect this little crossover will get you back into the gays' good graces after that little debacle yesterday. ;)

Nov 24th 2008 3:07PM Sorry, we gaymers are just a little touchy after being on servers where "gay" is used by the populace to mean "stupid" - and the f-bomb (three letter, not four letter) is used more often than just about any other epithet known to the English language.

Cut us a little slack. We put up with a lot of stupidity.

And actually, rather than be annoyed by it, I had more of a "WTF" moment thinking, "Wait...boyelves wouldn't be disappointed..."
