Breakfast Topic: Will Raid Finder popularity be sustainable? {WoW}

Dec 6th 2011 10:43AM Because it's always been such a challenge to stay out of uck, run away from moving uck, and run behind things during boss throwing uck. Yeah, this game has always been such a challenge. People like you need a better argument.

Breakfast Topic: Will Raid Finder popularity be sustainable? {WoW}

Dec 6th 2011 8:21AM It may even drop off in a few weeks with SWTOR coming out on the 20th, and early access starting on the 15th.

However, that being said, those who get bored and hop back over to WoW, will probably jump right back into it. It's also probable that those that do this aren't even using it right now, because of the "I don't really care about WoW, atm, so I'm not going to gear up because I'm leaving this game." Which seems to happen a lot when a new mmo is set to release.

If you have the experience you say you do, then you would know that 12+hours can happen sometimes with the sheer amount of places things can go wrong with the extreme amount of data that is this game. I love the various people that boast about their IT knowledge while forgetting exactly how big this game has gotten since its release 6 years ago.

With all that noted, there hasn't been a patch like this in WoW history. Like many people, I hoped that we would get to play at the original time, but playing for 6 years has taught me that it isn't always going to be the case. Heck, I remember servers being offline for a few days in the beginning. While we pay to play, they clearly state that they don't guarantee that servers will always be up and running.

Know Your Lore: Jaina Proudmoore, page 2 {WoW}

Nov 22nd 2010 9:49AM I agree completely, but you also have to stop and consider a few things. Jaina has been very strong, for a very long time. Then, all of the sudden, Arthas is being thrust into her face again. It was bound to bring up some deep seated emotional pain about what had happened. She knows now, he's gone forever. There is no bringing him back. She had always hoped that in some way she could bring him back to the way he was before. Yes, she did a lot of crying in this expansion. The only instance that I can recall that was completely unfounded and really un-Jaina like is when Varian let Saurfang pass with his son. However, anything to with Arthas, I understood completely.

I don't see an Anduin/Jaina combo there. She's going to provide Anduin with a strong female presence, not rob the cradle. He's without a mother and she can fulfill that role in his life without hooking up with Varian.
