Jul 29th 2009 5:03PM Yep....so rediculous that they registered for the trademark in 2000.

Jan 8th 2009 1:50PM It's moot.... unless you think it can't make sound without a product....
It's an F'ing CE trade show.... this is the place where you show inovations for CE products....especially if you want it to be integrated into other people's products.
Feb 15th 2008 12:12PM You mean OP in 2v2 don't you? Resto Druids need mobility to survive in anything larger as there is no lack of movement impairing abilities. Focus firing down a resto druid in 5V5 or 3V3 is easy....only in 2V2 does the mobility factor in (and last I checked 5V5 was the thing we were balancing for)
Look...the HT bonus is an insult. The only spell I've seen cast less in the arenas than HT by a resto druid would be Hurricane. It is too long of a cast even with the reduction to use and this change shows that little thought went into what this should be. What about having the 4 piece buff (or prevent interuption of) help out tranquility or reduce swiftmend CD? As it is this gear has no real beneficial bonuses (reduction of .1 of a second on cyclone? Yeah that's on the same level as the rogue glove bonus) and one wonders if the developers have played a resto druid in any form of PVP.
Feb 14th 2008 9:39AM Faar,
Remember that comment when you cut yourself for mana between fights and the healer says "oh I only heal during pulls you should eat or something." or perhaps when the tank decides to charge you gold for taunts when your dumb ass pulls aggro. Would you like a blessing from the Pally? Well that'll be 5 Gold please. Mark of the Wild? I can't be bothered going out and buying and carrying all that Wild Quillvine. The last time I had a warlock (in a rare pug) ask for compensation for summoning we took it out (and then some) in repair costs and then group booted them (because guess what... DPS classes are numerous and warlocks are easy to replace).... it can be really hard in a heroic for DPS to survive if the Tanks and Healers (you know the ones who make the run happen) decide they aren't going out of their way to keep them alive.
It's called Teamwork and your lack of it is why you are having to pug. Know your role and summon people there and be glad you have the ability.
Dec 28th 2007 11:25AM Former Creative Employee here.... they do not use names like that for internal projects. Most codenames were nonsensical or based on their target market (like the Zen Micro having a codename of minikiller... which was what it should have been....damn shoddy headphone design by an engineer who should have lost his job when he made the same mistake on the Zen Xtra/NX killed it).
Oct 31st 2007 12:26PM The way I see it, right now with the proper gear a druid can easily spec to do quite well in 2/3 of the Trees. I have moonkin, but am technically a hybrid spec (Dreamstate Swiftkin Spec). I am able to MH Kara alongside a Holy Priest and stay even and sometimes even pass him in healing done(we make a great team). He has more "Oh Noes" abilities of course but that's the advantage of being a holy Priest. When I am not needed for healing I am in my blast gear in moonkin form and I hold the #2/#3 spot on Damage typically. I don't set the world on fire for DPS but I do well enough. I suppose if I had decent feral gear I could hold up there as well...but not having any points in the feral tree makes me doubt it.
I think the trick for Hybrids....especially Druids... is to realize that the spec can get you in the door but it's your gear that determines your best role.
Oct 29th 2007 2:39PM With the comments about Season 3 possibly not starting at the release of 2.3 due to wanting a 2 week notice it seems to me that they are pushing for an ASAP push to live. I would not be suprised if they are trying to push it out the door in 2 weeks or less given that comment.
Oct 29th 2007 2:26PM Our biggest "loot whores" in Kara are DPS classes although I think that might have to do with the seemingly heavy emphasis on melee DPS, healing leather, and caster cloth on the drops.
Of course it isn't that there isn't any Pally Tank Plate or Druid Bear Leather in there....it just doesn't seem to drop very often compared to say the worgan claw necklace that drops off of Attunement the Gearcheck nearly every time.
Eh...maybe I am just bitter that the damn relentless storms ring has yet to drop (but the attunement mount has... go figure) but I've seen every other trash drop (and most multiple times). It's really sad when a Balance Druid repecs so that they can main heal kara because nothing drops in there for them (still moonkin though) other than +heal gear and cloth (not that fight again ;p ... respeced but still with moonkin form).
Through all the rambling I think my conclusion has been that Kara was designed for "pure" classes on the loot tables. One look at ZA tells me it is targeting hybrids on loot.
Oct 22nd 2007 10:49AM Here's my suggestion:
People who roll a char on RP servers that then go about spaming this junk and get reported get a one way ticket to an all RP server account ban (for whatever period of time is determined to be fair...assuming they are guilty of course). Perhaps we could even be nice and transfer the chars off the server for them. I play chars on both RP (RP-PVP actually) and Normal PVE servers and have no issue with the Chuck Norris style "wit" on the normal servers but it doesn't belong on the RP servers. I go there to avoid the 12 year old mentality (well that 12 year old mentality....not much to do about the /wrist Blood Elf RPs QQing up silvermoon...*sigh* even the terminology has invaded my posts against them....that is technically RP).
What needs to happen is that Blizzard needs to start enforcing RP on RP servers with a bit of teeth to it. I have no problem with non-RP chat in guild chat(for those that allow it), party chat, or whispers... but public channels should be primarily RP.
