Spiritual Guidance: Reacting to the Circle of Nerfing {WoW}

Dec 15th 2008 3:07PM Just wanted to state some facts

From: http://dwarfpriest.com/2008/08/02/mythbusting-priests-most-nerfed/

Pre-TBC
Most buffs: Warlocks (53)
Most nerfs: Warriors (17)
TBC
Most buffs: Paladins (30)
Most nerfs: Priests (17)
Overall
Most buffs: Druids (78)
Most nerfs: Priests (29)

This shows why a lot of priests feel unloved by blizzard.

According to Warcraft realms, the priest is one of, if not the least played class between sept to now. Not only this but if blizzard continues to nerf healers you will see the healer classes getting lower and lower. Note to graph, all bottom classes are healer classes.

Blizzard says we are the gap fillers yet with a 6 sec CD on CoH were do we fit in. Shamans have been telling us “to just MT heal” great idea if it wasn’t for the fact that renew gets beat by druids, Gheal is mostly over heal and takes forever to cast. So that leaves us with Flash heal.

Here is a breakdown on the hps and hpm of flash heal vs. other classes:

HPS
1. 2941 Druid Nourish w/HoT
2. 2684 Shaman LHW+G
3. 2603 Priest Flash Heal
4. 2603 Priest Flash Heal+G
5. 2509 Druid Nourish
6. 2271 Shaman LHW
7. 1921 Paladin Flash of Light

HPM
1. 9.37 Paladin Flash of Light
2. 7.17 Druid Nourish w/HoT
3. 6.43 Shaman LHW+G
4. 6.24 Priest Flash Heal+G
5. 6.12 Druid Nourish
6. 5.61 Priest Flash Heal
7. 5.44 Shaman LHW

Nov 15th 2008 5:46PM Just taking the boat ride to Howling Fjord and looking up seeing a boat above me with the rolling fire graphic.

Wow, Blizzard really did a great job with the expansion. I ran around on my mount just to check out all the scenario before I started questing.

Wrath of the Lich King: Priest roundup {WoW}

Nov 13th 2008 7:03PM Good write up.

When / If the 6 sec CD goes through on CoH it'll really affect us on raids.

Talents that are effected by CoH:

Twin Disc

Holy Spec

Holy Reach

Surge of Light (more procs)

Divine Providence

Test of Faith.

Mental Agility (if needed)

This CD will really affect Holy priests alot.

Cooldown possibly coming to CoH, Wild Growth {WoW}

Nov 8th 2008 11:35PM CoH does not need a 6 sec CD.

It was fine before the smart heal, just take that part away.
I asked GC, what would a smaller guild do if it has alot of AoE damage and they don't have shamans?

Heres what he said,

"You don't need Resto shamans to raid.

If Chain Heal ends up being the only spell that gets used to heal, or the spell that pushes Holy priests and Resto druids out of a raid, then we'll nerf it. We don't think those cases are likely, but we always try to leave the possibility open.

I've already said we'll adjust the content with the assumption that CoH and WG aren't going to be as huge a percent of total healing. "

If the 6 sec CD goes throw we will have no choice but to start recruiting Shamans, or I'll just have to roll one.

So much for "bring the player, not the class"
