I have wanted to go for years but never had the money, nor the time. this would be like winning my golden ticket!!!!
Oct 5th 2010 2:36PM I think this is going to throw A LOT of players for a huge loop, which will end up in QQ-ing. Wraith has made pretty much every aspect of the PVE game really accessible to the whole of level cap-ed population. On one hand this is a great thing because it keeps us all involved and feeling like we can continue to progress, even if we aren't in an end-content raiding guild. But the ass-handing that we are all going to receive on that first heroic jump is going to be a huge wake up call, and for some will be extremely frustrating, especially if they grew up entirely in the Wraith era.
However it sounds like cata is going to be generally harder then everything we've been doing. As Daniel mentioned in previous posts, regular quest mobs hit harder, and gone are the days of picking up packs-upon-packs of whatever and killing them in no time. Hopefully the progression to the heroics will help all players come to the understanding that we ain't in Kansas anymore.
I've found that one thing that having all heroics on lock down has done to the majority of the pug population is lower our patients and tolerance for continual wiping. Often if a group wipes even twice people began to bail, blaming it all on whoever they aren't (the tank, the healer, the other dps). I wonder what this new level of difficulty in play will do? Will it turn into piles upon piles of complaints on the forums, which may in turn lead to a nerfing of the content? Will it thin out the population of players who continually attempt to master the end game content? Or will it do what it is supposed to: challenge us as a community and have us re-learn how to master those forgotten abilities and become overall better players?

Nov 18th 2009 5:16PM NO WAY!!! you don't understand how perfect this is! I finally convinced all my friends from school and from home to sever change to my brother's server and we are all joining his raiding guild!! Can we add in a "get a head set with the move" bonus for all of them? I really hope so :)
