Breakfast Topic: Do you do RPish things on a non-RP realm? {WoW}

Feb 23rd 2011 3:59PM Hi, I’m on Azuremyst too! /waves

I just finished reading the War of the Ancients series and I’ve been finding myself doing more and more RP as I get more into the lore. In the middle of the series I immediately had to go and logon and find Krasus and Alexstrazsa and /bow and /curtsey to them. I also shelled out the money for a red drake and that’s my preferred mount lately. Reading the books is really bringing the game to life in a whole new way. I find myself actually reading quest text and feeling sympathy for the characters and their stories.

Last week we did a guild run of heroic Grim Batol. On the last boss, while a guildy was explaining the fight to the new guy, I started emoting: /starts grabbing Alexstrazsa’s eggs and tries to get them to safety. I think that the lore and RP go hand in hand and make the game so much richer and I’m really enjoying it.

Breakfast Topic: Love is in the Air! {WoW}

Feb 11th 2009 10:53AM My hubby has done supersweet things for me in game. The biggest thing he did was send me the money for my epic flight training. He bought mine before he bought his. He's definately a keeper.

Last year I did the Nagrand picnic thing with the romantic picnic basket, roses, and the whole bit. It was cheesy but fun. Good for screenshots and all. :)

This year I asked him what he wanted for Valentine's Day and he said a "Greatness card" so I'm going to do what I can. We have a guildy that can make them so I'm going to give him the mats and maybe I'll get lucky. But neither of us have that kind of money. He told me later not to worry about it, but I know he would be floored if I actually can pull this off so I'll do my best.

The Queue: Who cares about 3.0.8, where's 3.1? {WoW}

Jan 22nd 2009 9:29AM A note on the Urn to Summon Nightbane:

Yes, the Urn is now a gray item and useless, BUT you have to have completed the quest chain in order for the Urn on the balcony to be clickable.

Found this out this weekend when a few guildies took our alts to Kara while Northrend was crashing. None of us could click the urn, so I logged my main and it was clickable for me and only me (because I completed the quest chain).

Breakfast topic: Poaching {WoW}

Jan 19th 2009 9:25AM We are small and somewhat tightknit guild. We have enough for 2, 10-man Naxx groups (if everyone was online at the same time) but not enough for a 25-man. I'm a pretty good judge of character when recruiting for PUGs and we usually end up with pretty good results. For instance, if I spam trade or LFG with a "LFM DPS for Naxx 10" and get a response "invite plz" ... that person rarely gets to go. I'm sorry, I just don't think that is the proper response to a LFG call.. maybe it's just me. LOL

When we do get a pugger that we like, I'll wait until the end of the raid then whisper the person (guilded or not - unless they are in a friend's guild) and just put out a casual "hey, we really like you. Just curious if you're happy with your guild?" and if they say that they are happy then I say "sure, NP.. never hurts to ask, right! :) We'd love to run with you again." and leave it at that. Sometimes they are unhappy with their guild, but more often than not, they just wanted to pug because their guild is busy, not ready for Naxx yet, or some other reason. Either way we have someone new to add to our friends list.

Spiritual Guidance: Wrath Priest leveling guide from 70 to 75 {WoW}

Nov 17th 2008 4:59PM Okay, here it is... my very unconvential Holy/Disc spec. I have spent point that I'm sure make other priests lol if they inspect me. But I am LOVING it!

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bVIbuh0zbZcxtcbrqbuZh

I can dps mobs fast and I have never dipped below half of my mana. This weekend we did Kara (we're strange like that, lol) and I never went below half of my mana in there. I was dps on all but a couple of bosses, and even on those I was just off-heals mixed with dps. I was worried with my full mana bar that my guildies would think I wasn't doing anything but the mana regen of that spec along with my gear is just fabulous. Shhh.. don't tell Blizz.

No, I don't need the Lightwell, but it's only one point and I like it. People are like "Oooh, a lightwell, what's that?" ROFL

Nymh of EU Drek'thar first to level 80 {WoW}

Nov 14th 2008 3:50PM Grats to Nymh.

Now, what the heck is a "pocket priest" rofl? I'm assuming that you had an ungrouped priest follow you around and heal you.

As a holy/disc priest myself I wanna give props to the priest that helped you with this. They were there for probably most of the 26 hours with you and yet they get no credit and are probably still level 70. Priests are often underrated. The priest in this situation should get some recognition too.

You'd have to have a heck of a friend to do that. So grats to you both! :)

Spiritual Guidance: Wrath of the Shadow Priest {WoW}

Nov 10th 2008 10:12AM This is the leveling/healing build that I'm considering:

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bVIbuh0zbZcxtcbrqbuZh

It's basically the same build I have now, but moving points from Serendipity to Spirit Tap to help with leveling.

I know people don't love the Lightwell. Sometimes I think I'm the only person on my server that has one, lol. But with the changes to the way it works in the last patch I really love it.

Comments, suggestions?
