Breakfast Topic: Design yourself as a raid boss {WoW}

Apr 5th 2011 8:16AM I would be part of a multimob boss fight.

My main is a palatank, so I wouldn't have a normal aggro-list, but I would attack players who were the most damaging to my companions. I would have an ability (taunt/enrage) that would cause a player to attack me and not my companions for a while, some auto healing/mana regeneration, quite vulnerable on silences, having good physical damage reduction but susceptible to magical damage.

May 18th 2010 9:46AM By the gods! They look like children!

I know. It's hard to kill just one.

WoW Rookie: Questing 101 {WoW}

The Grind starts at level 80

I'm not saying it's not fun, but it's not the game per se. At least not for me.

A lot of people seem obsessed with leveling as fast as possible - "don't spec X, spec Y it's faster to level," "That zone has the quests closer together, although they are boring" ... - and not about having fun. Then you reach 80 and madness comes at full throttle "tank? you should DPS until you have enough equipment," "plate-wearing DPS? you should tank for shorter queues," "full 187 ilevel? not enough for the easier heroics, go farm emblems."

And all that just to end raiding (if you are "lucky" or good), farming, collecting achievements... in a word: grinding.

I'm not saying that raiding is no fun, but it might not be what some people want to do. I'd rather quest, win fights thanks to wits and friends and watch how the world evolves, but being (a rather well equipped) 80 means that I'll overpower anything on my way. No thrill on that, and it's a shame.

I'd love to have a "Top level special WoW" were everything is max level and so nothing is fully trivial.

Cataclysm Class Changes: Priest {WoW}

Apr 8th 2010 7:43AM Yes, it would be fun :D

"Oh, I'm in Thunder Bluff and levitating out of it, let me Life Grip you"

....

Slapsh!

"Ups sorry"

New scam targets the WoW Launcher {WoW}

Mar 31st 2010 11:47AM For me the telling field is "Answer to Secret Question". I don't even know what my secret question is, and they are not showing it.

Blizzard says no to skipping to the last boss {WoW}

Jan 25th 2010 4:32AM @Angus
"You realize that skipping those 2 annoyingly hard to deal with bosses likely means you can run a new heroic even better."

What if you have only time to do one heroic? I need those emblems for my off-specs :D getting retry-pve, retry-pvp, healing-pve and healing-pvp armor is no cheap, you know?

I'm 99% of the time tanking and I'll do all the optional bosses, unless my group (especially the healer) doesn't want to or I am distracted and forget about them.

Breakfast Topic: What roles do you play? {WoW}

Jan 22nd 2010 9:19AM I leveled a Holy paladin (in a PvP server) to 40, and I loved it.

Rerolled a tankadin with some friends, got it to 80 and loved it.

Dual-specced the paladin to holy... I don't like how these heals work.

Changed the dual spec to retribution and it's fun... except that most groups I find are dysfunctional. Even though my DPS is a bit low for what I would like before going to heroics I'll try going there with him, as I hope people will be a bit more knowledgeable there.

Now I understand why my guildies say that they like it more with me tanking :D

Breakfast Topic: What do you do while waiting for LFG to pop? {WoW}

Jan 11th 2010 9:18AM I've tried with tank + 2,3 DPS and have had quite long queues, at least to the ones I've been used to playing a solo tank. tank+3 longer waits than tank+2.

Blizzard: Run Oculus, win fabulous prizes {WoW}

Jan 5th 2010 5:13AM Really nice. One of my favorite instances and better loot now? Gimme gimme!

It was my first random normal instance in the new LFG tool as a freshly dinged 80, and it was fun for me. I don't really care explaining people what to do, and I like the abilities of all the drakes (personal preference green>red>amber). Having not found utter morons who don't know back from front I have only wiped twice in all the times I have run it (it was in the same run, one of them due to a dragon attacking us while we were on foot).

I love it.
