Nov 17th 2008 6:20PM Remember sometimes your role is not to do dmg but to heal or something else

Theres also a melee advantage when fighting + looting mobs they're always the closest to the corpse so they can loot the body before the ranged.

But yes i agree don't make just one item drop per mob let everyone in the party loot it. It always sucks when your grouped and you or someone else is having horrible luck with the drop rate. It can take a lot of time.

Speaking of which some times it doesn't make sense not to have a 100% drop rate for items. I mean trolls have 2 ears if i have an assignment to grab ears off of bodies don't you think Id consider not damaging that part when fighting the monster. And if i lop an ear off why isn't it still good!?

15-year-old collapses after playing Wrath for hours on no sleep or food {WoW}

Nov 17th 2008 6:12PM Being passionate about something is different from being stupid. WoW is something that people enjoy and love and when an event like this happens they want to share the experience with each other. Think about other forms of entertainment.. even standing in line for an autograph or to see a famous person could be likened to the midnight launch lines.

And its not stupidity that caused the boy to collapse. It's an addiction/dependency or the immersion in the game with his friends that caused him to play for 15 hours. Blinded by some sort of desire for a goal.

Nov 17th 2008 6:01PM There is a stopwatch and clock in game in addition to a parental control function out of game. I sometimes use these to manage my own time in game ..rarely tho. While i do not think that this is the fault of blizzard i do think that Blizzard should make parents more aware of the time control features. If the parents are paying for it they should ask for/ be able to access everything to do with that account. as said before there should be a parental responsibility in addition to that Tell them to turn it off; make them turn it off; tell them to eat with you. There's no reason that this should have happened to that teen.
