Nov 15th 2010 2:20PM Newp. Engine is still the same. Been playing AO for about 8 years now... but I am done. I've finally given in and just cancelled my three accounts and I am just going to wait and see how this fiasco turns out.
AO is a brilliant game, don't get me wrong, but the company backing it has some serious priority issues.
Sep 26th 2010 9:56AM Give me dual Pistols any day, run and gun is my motto, followed by a rapier in the main hand and a sweet parry-dagger in the off.
mmmm Wonderful days of Anarchy Online.

That is the best analogy/metaphor for a bug I have ever read in my life!
You, sir, win +1 Internets!
Sep 21st 2010 9:17AM I am definitely not a fan boy, but I have been through enough " UMG RAGE LAUNCH ISIN'T PERFECT!!!!!111" threads and blah blah to let it get to me...
Im not doubting its gonna be rocky, but being a "pioneer" as such in a new game is too much fun...
Sep 21st 2010 6:11AM Haters gonna hate.
That being said, I recieved my CE 2 days ago, and ripped an .ISO and I am currently the only person seeding with 1100 Leechers.
My client is updated with little over 12 hours to go until head-start launch and the only patches I have gotten is about 400 MB worth.
I didn't play the Beta for the exact reason that everyone who did seemed to draw wild and deluded conclusions that the game is going to suck and that Launch is going to be terrible, yet I am going to 'lol' ever so hard if the launch is one of the smoothest I have played yet.
Coming from AoC launch, WAR launch, Aion launch etc etc... there is very little that will surprise in the sense of 'terribad launches.'
Sep 15th 2010 6:17AM I was running around in Inferno last night, I was greeted by the Lord of the Void and promptly got sent back to Omni-HQ for a Reclaim...
The music started playing...
I thought back to when I first heard the music for the Omni cities... and remembered how the days were much better than they are now.
Anarchy Online. Still Alive.
My first true MMO and gaming addiction. 6 years gone... countless other MMOs... but Rubi-Ka will always be my true home.
Someone already said it, but I'll say it again.
AO for Life.
Sep 14th 2010 7:40AM You guys are reading it wrong.
When you merge accounts all your accounts are merged for billing ONLY.
Every account you have, Login and Password stays independent. You can just bill them all with the same CC without having to edit Info on every single account via the billing portal.
I have 4 accounts merged and I Four-Log AO every day. >.<
PS: If you really think you're gonna get "hacked" you are doing something wrong. Billing logins and passwords are kept independent of Game logins and passwords. Torrenting all that pr0n from TPB is whats getting you hacked, not merging your billing accounts with one website.
Sep 13th 2010 10:09PM The reasons you'd want two accounts linked is that all the pre-order items and veteran points from the main account, including all the expansions are transferred to the second account, effectively cutting the price of this second account by about 75%. Its starts with 60 days game time too.
Not just that, but all your new characters can benefit by having your main run around and pocket heal or tank for them while they level up, which makes the absolute grind, or questing in AO go by quicker.
Sep 5th 2010 12:06AM I'm not even going to start on asking why I was voted down, or why my nickname is Panda IRL, because the people who have voted me down don't agree with me or are ignorant.
You say that people still get hurt by other people acting like ass-hats in game, and you try and refute my points, yet Blizzard has given you many ways to play the game your way, and if someone is being an ass-hat in trade, the game has a built in functionality to let you ignore that person and never see their comments again, hence it doesn't matter.
If you are one of those people who cry incessantly about how other people are playing the game, then you are there for the wrong reasons. The means to exclude those people from your playtime is there, if you don't utilize them, then you can't be on here saying that it matters and that you get offended, because in all seriousness, if you get THAT worked up about what some douche is saying on WoW, and you don't put him on ignore immediately, there is something wrong, and its not the "Social expectations, respect for others and caring about your reputation" part of this column.
Sep 4th 2010 8:59AM Again, I am not in any way condoning or agreeing with the aforementioned behaviour.
Anonymity seems to lend itself to bigotry and ass-hattery more than say... a good Samaritan.
