Dec 8th 2009 1:37PM Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdom was released in 1985, while Dark Forces 2 was released in the 1990's (1997 according to wikipedia). Inclined to go with Mad Max :D
Again, though, good comparison. Can't wait till I can properly smite Ick and Krick with my nice shiney new Axe.
Dec 8th 2009 1:31PM More like Master Blaster, from Mad Max. Though Pic and Gorc are a good comparison too.
Nov 23rd 2009 12:56PM I agree. I'm looking forward to doing some of the ones that I haven't done in ages. Stratholm, I'm looking at you. Or perhaps a BRD run that we ACTUALLY FINISH IN THE PROPER LEVEL RANGE.
Nov 23rd 2009 12:53PM Pick me! Wants the lewtz!
Oct 8th 2009 8:36PM Want!
And I'm gona bind freaking crusader strike macro :)
Oct 2nd 2009 4:08PM Agreed, likely either a mistake or fake. On the other hand, it would be interesting to see the story told for those who never played the RTS games. Which doesn't include myself, and I would likely be obliged to mock it, but that is because I'm an inconsiderate pain in the posterior at times. :)
Intriguing thought though.
Oct 2nd 2009 1:29PM I guess I have a question about what you mean by "content patch" exactly. From what I understand, there is not going to be a content patch like the Sunwell one, where a new raid comes out. There might a "content" patch though, that they give us the adjusted talents and some of the other nifty things they are promising.
Personally, I'm hoping for a early spring thing for Cataclysm. Feb, March, ect. Kind of expecting 3.3 around say, late November. (Lich King for my birthday, woot!)
Just my opinion though. Regardless: BRING ON THE APOCALYPSE!!!
Or Cataclysm as the case may be ;)
Sep 21st 2009 9:12AM This is how I my paladin has been gearing up his tanking set. I started out as Ret for heroics, as I figured there would be less pressure on me than my barely up to snuff prot set would account for.
So far, its worked pretty well. My Ret set is ready for Naxx, just have to find the time to jump into a group, my prot set needs a few more upgrades, but not many. Some of them I can craft soon too, so I'll be able to tank heroics soon enough.
Aug 19th 2009 6:44PM Suddenly some of those rumors make a lot more sense. Originally, I was like "Thrall? Guardian of Trisfal? wtf mate?"
Personally, I don't think they will make Thrall the ACTUAL Guardian of Trisfal, like they did to Aegwynn and Medivh. Might name him "Guardian of Trisfall" in the sense that is his new task, but I have to agree, Med'an is likely going to be the next real Guardian.
Intriguing. Blizzard isn't confirming the rumors, but they are dropping hints that it might be right... :P
Aug 15th 2009 10:18AM No. This is SPARTA!
Or rather, this is World of Warcraft. :)
In all seriousness though: this makes sense to me, at least parts of it. Blizzard has said time and again, that remaking the world to handle flying mounts would be a major undertaking. IF they were going to do it, it would make sense to do so for something like an expansion pack that includes the new content in, above or around content from the old world.
To be honest, parts of this I do find questionable, but we shall hopefully get those questions answered in a week. For example, as people have pointed out, the "guardian of trisfal" bit seems a bit off, as does Malfurions sudden return, when last we checked, he was stuck in the emerald dream. On the other hand, if he IS back, this could be part of an expansion to include pieces of the emerald dream as well (and not the half-assed quest we saw from ice crown...I expected more, much more, for the emerald dream than that.).
